Uh, I am stunned that this jumpsuit is still available. Maybe because summer is over? Although here in Texas it certain is NOT. Anyway, as I was trying it on and styling it, I decided that I would definitely wear this in the fall with a jacket over, and even in cooler weather with a cashmere cardigan. This is coming from ME, the person who is very seasonally specific when it comes to textiles: linen only in summer, suede only in winter, etc..
On sizing – the XS/S actually fits me, generally. It’s a bit snug in the hips/butt area, but not restrictive until I sit down. It’s a bit tight sitting, but linen always gives/stretches with wear, so over time I don’t imagine that would be a problem. And you can see that it’s a little large on me right under the arms as well (I’m a 36A). If I was buying this jumpsuit, I would probably get this size, and get it taken in at the bust. I would not necessarily want to size up to a medium.
I recommend it for someone who’s a little less wide in the hips/butt/saddlebags than I am, and maybe bustier. It’s the cutest!!
I also really love the Bridge & Burn top with the jumpsuit, it’s a cozy flannel, and I prefer it as a jacket, but it’s meant to be worn as a shirt. The small fits me well as a jacket, but it’s a little snug buttoned 😉
The Robert Clergerie shoes are SO AMAZING. I’m actually wearing my own shoes here, in size 38.5, not the 39’s that are in the shop. I’ve had these shoes for years and I think they tend to run a little big, so I wish I’d bought the size 38 (I’m usually a US size 8) and would recommend the size 39’s for a usual size 9. They are a lovely stretchy suede with a slight wedge heel that is insanely comfortable; this style is so chic and really very classic, but in an unexpected way.
Finally the Agnes Badoo bag – I tried once and just couldn’t manage with a bag so small and structured, so here it is. It’s really lovely, and if it was just a bit bigger, I’d definitely keep it. The leather is beautiful, and sturdy and I love love love that there’s no hardware at all. I’ll actually entertain offers if anyone is interested.
Let me know if you have any more questions about fit on any of the items above.
I’ll have more slowre “outfits” this week – it’s too freaking hot to wear REAL outfits, and I’m really excited about some of the stuff still available at slowre. I’ll take requests too, if there’s anything you’d like to see on me (provided I can fit into it !)
Happy Monday!!!
Wow, I freakin’ love this whole outfit! If I could, I’d buy it all. 🙂
Haha! It’s so cute isn’t it??
HAH…26F at my house when I got up yesterday morning!!
WHAT?? So jealous
Aaaand it’s gone! That jumpsuit went to a lucky person!
Yay! It looks super in these pics and I’m so glad the jumpsuit is going to a new home!
I’m so grateful for you doing Slowre. Knowing I could probably pass it along to someone via your store if it didn’t work out helped me decide to take a leap and give this jumpsuit a go – it’ll help me try other indie designers too in future.
It’s adorable and beautifully made but not quite right on me, and so I’m glad someone else will enjoy it. Thank you so much for all you do to promote indie and sustainable designers.
I have this jumpsuit and it’s one of my favorite pieces. I always get compliments when I wear it. I have the S/M and just roll up the legs.
thank YOU emma! i couldn’t do it without consignors like you 🙂
i really love being able to do this, and know that items are going to good homes!
