Jump(suits) for Joy

Ah, the jumpsuit (romper, jumper, onesie, or whatever you want to call it) – there are always a few here and there for Spring, but this year, they’re everywhere. Ranging from the impractical and strange drop-crotch jumpers by Rick Owens (see below), Henrik Vibskov and Mary Meyer, to practical, cute rompers by Mociun, Eryn Brinie, and American Vintage, jumpsuits are “in” with a vengeance this year.

I personally won’t be donning one, but all things considered, I think some are very cute (the Mociun jumpsuit below is the ONLY one that I would ever consider wearing…I LOVE it.). I prefer the down & dirty practical “romper” types to the evening jumpsuits. And I can totally see how a jumpsuit would be more practical than a dress in certain situations – hence the term “romper.” I say consider a jumpsuit for Spring/Summer this year, it’ll be a fresh addition to your wardrobe, just don’t spend a lot of money on one if you’re not sure it’s your style, and you think you might only wear it one season.
