I’m intrigued by a few things, but am mostly interested in the long linen blend ellipse skirt (they’re sending me one to try out for you!!) and new viscose twill fabrications. Honestly, I’m sort of on the fence on those, because in the images, they look rather shiny, which is something I normally don’t like. I do have some previous years viscose items (black drapey dress, white draped top), and I LOVE those, but they seem to be more matte than the new ones.
I’m going to go and take a look at them in person as soon as I can, so I can tell you more about them. I also love the new shorts (not the SHORT SHORT ones) because they’re knee length and slouchy. I’m still not entirely on board with wearing shorts, but I’ve already been very hot the last few days, so I may give in and bare my knees if I try on and love those viscose twill shorts with the drawstring waist. Or those slouchy sweat-shorts…
What are your thoughts on the new viscose twill items at James Perse? or the new spring arrivals in general? Do you like the longer shorts? Anything on your wishlist??
Hi Grechen! Long time reader, first time commenter! I am interested in seeing the linen skirt as well, that waistband looks a little thin to me, so I am interested on how you like it. The twill shorts, I am kind of undecided, I think they may not be all that flattering, but maybe! I do wish JP would do a pinky nude or something for spring, I am kind of tired of that green that they always have. I do like the looks of the twill blazer, and will have to check that out next time I am shopping.
Thanks for being awesome!
haha! thank YOU for your comment 🙂
i agree with you on the shorts – they will more than likely be not-so-flattering on my thicker legs/thighs, but i will try them anyway!!
i can’t get tired of the green, because that’s the only other color i wear, really, besides black, white or gray. but i hear you. the “peat” color of those short shorts is nice, though, and seems sort of similar to what you’re looking for.
I had to visit the JP website that you linked to, and I love their resort looks, so inspiring! The Ellipse skirt and the slouchy shorts look great. I’m definitely into longer shorts as I have quite sturdy legs 🙂

I love the way JP styled everything this Spring, from the colors, to the slouchiness…I’m IN! I’ll pass on the “booty shorts,” tho 😉
What REALLY caught my eye? $765 for a pair of canvas slip-on sneakers. I don’t care if Rick Owens put his DNA and a gold tooth in there! No way are they worth it!!!
