The James Perse sample sale is ON! As usual, you must enter through the link and sign-in to your account to view sale items. And all sales ARE FINAL, so leave a comment if you have any questions about how anything fits, chances are I’ve tried it on 😉
Sweatshirt – $64 (lots of colors)
I’ve wanted one of those sweatshirts forever; every time I see one in person I am amazed at how soft and colorful they are.
Casual t – $29
the casual t is my favorite style James Perse tee, I have all of the more neutral colors and wear them all the time.
Slub side-panel shirt – $89
he side panel shirt is amazing – I sometimes wear it open during the Summer over dresses or tanks, but it’s great also by itself.
I immediately clicked the link, after much much temptation I managed to not get any (I think i bought too many other things recently) though the tees and sweatshirts looked amazing. The most recent pieces I got from the sample sale from last year already developed a hole in the side so I was a bit wary about their quality now, do you ever have this issue? I still love their aesthetics, but it feels like something has changed.
nanashi´s last blog post ..Ah . . . guilt for Gilt purchase.
i think generally, i’m disappointed in almost everything lately – and increasingly, thinking about only buying at brick and mortar stores so i can take things back. a beloved joie dress SHRUNK nearly a whole size, even though i followed the washing instructions (I have bought something from anthropologie that happened to and took it back to the store), and a JP tank i got via gilt developed a hole after only one wear/wash. mostly i blame the extremely thin material, i mean, no matter who makes it, how can material that thin ever hold up? but i guess i would have expected that to happen over time, not after only once.
overall, i’m still happy with JP quality, but i buy mostly skirts/sweaters and not tees because i already have ENOUGH tees 😉
Hi Grechen!
Two quick questions- 1. How long is the sample sale going on for? 2. Have you ever tried the “tuxedo” cardigan? I’m usually a size medium in most sweaters, so unsure whether to go for size 2 or 3 in this piece. Not sure if you’ve seen or tried it…thanks!
i’m not exactly sure how long the sample sale will last; i guess usually it lasts a a week or two.
i haven’t tried the tuxedo cardigan, but if i were going to order it i would take my normal size (3). i think it depends on how fitted you’d like it to be – if you want it to be rather loose and be able to layer it in cooler weather, i’d take the larger size. if you want it to fit more snuggly, i’d go for the size 2. i’m usually a medium in most tops/sweaters also.
