Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or something, you probably know that the House of Harlow line of jewelry is designed by Nicole Richie. And you probably also know that I hardly ever talk about celebrity fashion, or celebrity-designed lines here on Grechen’s Closet…but the thing is, I actually like this line. Forget for a second it’s designed by Nicole Richie and just look at the individual pieces:

I love the retro 50’s vibe of many items, the aztec bangles, the HUGE cocktail rings and the simple stackable rings & bangles. I don’t look at these as classic, wear everyday, or long-lived pieces, they’re just fun & great for adding color and whimsy to Summer outfits. I also think the price point is perfect; too many “celebrity” lines price their pieces so high that their target market can’t afford them. But I appreciate that House of Harlow makes hip, fun jewelry accessible to more women, with prices starting at $19 for a think stacking ring & topping out at $195 for elaborate hairpieces.
