I have a girl crush on Kelly Cutrone.

This has been in my queue to publish since last week, so In honor of the next episode of Kell on Earth (tonight, bravo, 10 EST), I thought it was time to proclaim my love:

I don’t watch a lot (any) reality TV, so I had no idea who Kelly Cutrone was prior to a few weeks ago. I know her PR firm, People’s Revolution, but I didn’t know her “reputation.” After watching “Kell on Earth” on Bravo the other day, and doing a little background reading online, I’m now obsessed. I’m totally getting her book: “If you’re going to cry, go outside” and plan on continuing to watch the show and relish in her no-nonsense, kick-ass attitude. And her caftans.

Although she only wore the caftans at home, I decided I really need one. Then I got this e-mail from Abejas this morning with their new arrivals of Bindi Indian dresses and almost bit the bullet:

Back to Kelly though…I love how real she is, that she doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, and doesn’t seem to be constantly obsessed with what she’s wearing (she wears what WORKS); only with getting the job done. She’s comfortable in her own skin, fearless, and totally funny. She’s the woman we all aspire to be, but are too afraid of being. We worry that if we’re not at least a little vulnerable, we won’t get what we want, or that if we don’t say what people want to hear instead of what they NEED to hear, no one will like us.

Life’s too short to be afraid.
