I got my haircut yesterday and she styled it so nicely I had to document it in the car on the way home….
This is going to be a quick post because I’m only just half here right now, and I know a lot of you probably are as well. Thanksgiving, as you may know, is my favorite “holiday” (it’s also the only one I celebrate) and I’m so excited about going to Atlanta this year. But as you also may know, excitement for me is always tempered by anxiety about the things I have to get done before we leave. We leave on Tuesday. I have four days to do what I need to do, which honestly isn’t a lot, it just feels overwhelming right now.
So, first thing: I got this Madewell turtleneck bodysuit last night when I met my sister for happy hour at Seasons52 (did you know they have hh?? It’s a good one too…) at the mall. I haven’t shopped at Madewell in years, mostly because I tired of it, but also for ethical reasons. But I’m not opposed to buying things at stores like Madewell if they are things that will (or should) get a lot of wear; one of the most sustainable things you can do is actually WEAR the things you have in your closet until you can’t wear them any more…
I like it a lot, and I feel like the medium is my size, although I only got the medium because that was the only size they had in stock. It feels a little snug, but also comfortable, and it fits my hips/body well. This body suit has two rows of snaps at the crotch so the size is “adjustable” if you happen to have a longer or shorter torso. I’ve only worn it for an hour or so this morning so far, but so far I’m really happy with it. I do recommend trying it if you’re interested in turtleneck bodysuits. Just be sure to take care of it and wear it often 🙂
Also, I’ll be “off” next week, but not really because there are two big sales I’ll be posting about – one that you definitely won’t want to miss the post for – in case you’re shopping. And I’ll do some slowre try-on posts for you guys also, there’s a lot of excellent stuff in the shop right now.
Happy weekend!!
I really like the way she styled your cut with a slightly off-center part and a casual flippiness. It’s very cute on you. And I seea little color on that pretty face!!! ???
Gretchen – I love your new foray into colors. It seems to reflect a whole new brightness in your posts (and your life?). I’ve followed you for years and your human journey is inspiring. Your hair – beyond amazing! I also have dark eyes and wondered if I could pull off this blonde shade. I’m turning 60 in March and I’m definitely going for it. Blessings to you this Thanksgiving.
Great hair/great smile – you look beautiful.
