Because they don’t exist. Well, some do, but the ones I love the most aren’t available in larger sizes – they’re mostly for 13″ laptops or even netbooks. My absolute FAVORITE laptop sleeve is this one by Mulberry x Apple, which is available to buy now, but WAY WAY WAY more than I’d ever spend for a laptop sleeve ($550):
And all of the really cute laptop bags/sleeves by Mulberry X Apple are for 13″ Macbooks, the 15″ bags are more masculine, and they are also nice, but the pink patent is just perfect for me 🙂
And I do love this one by Louis Vuitton, and it does fit a 15″ laptop, but again, I could never spend even close to $715 on a laptop bag:
This Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop sleeve is my most affordable favorite ($68), but it’s also only for a 13″ computer (I really loved the “strawberry” color animal print better, which is available at Neiman Marcus.
This bag by Brooklyn Industries is also kind of interesting, I like that it’s slim and has two carrying options. But right now, I’m really looking for a sleeve I can put my computer in and then carry inside my regular handbag.
Remember the Rebecca Minkoff virginia laptop case? I loved that one, but I’m sure it was only for smaller laptops…I know I can find a good basic laptop sleeve for a great price that will fit my computer…but c’mon, we fashionable ladies also carry 15″ macbooks – they’re not just for boys – can we have cool laptop sleeves too? please?
Does anybody have any other suggestions? what do you carry your laptop in?
I have also had this problem until just recently! I was dying for the Rebecca Minkoff Virginia case in grey ostrich, but not wanting to pay very much. Two weekends ago I stumbled across this one, which I LOVE!

It comes in different sizes, too. I got the Pink Peacock one and it’s great! Hope this helps you in your search. 🙂
try etsy – lots of laptop sleeves and most are available in custom sizes. prices are way reasonable too – and you’re supporting independent business owners.
i love those allison! thank you for recommending that site – the pink peacock may be just what i need 🙂
you’re absolutely right. i actually meant to include some etsy ones in this post, but forgot…i’ll do a follow-up with my favorites!
I really like the Lauren Mirkin laptop sleeves, but she doesn’t appear to be making them any longer.
oh yeah…i do remember that she had some as well…if both hers and Rebecca Minkoff’s price points had been a little lower, they probably would have sold more – and they’d still be designing them.
I love the RM Ibiza laptop bag:

but it’s still pricey and I don’t know if it’s sold out. I just use a Incase neoprene sleeve and put it in a tote. I also like the felted wool ones on Etsy like this:

i swear by my Incase laptop sleeves (they make custom sizes that fit macbooks perfectly, as well as your iphones, ipods, etc).
Built NYC (they also make adorable wine cooler cases and lunch totes!) also has some great options in all sizes, from netbook to 15-17″ laptop size.

i ended up getting an incase sleeve/thin briefcase at the apple store today (daddy took me shopping :)) and i love it! it has a removable shoulder strap, retractable handles, and lots of pockets. i also saw the built nyc ones, they are CUTE!!
i saw that ibiza laptop bag…but yeah, it was $445 and not available anymore.
and i love that felted wool sleeve from etsy…thanks so much for the link!
I am glad you found what you were looking for. I was going to suggest you look at the Briggs & Riley collection of laptop sleeves. They’ve got great style and design innovations. Plus, if you travel a lot like me, you’ll also love the checkpoint friendly features they offer and their lifetime warranty that even covers airline damage! You may still want to check out their laptop sleeves.
I have the 15.4” SpeedThru Computer Sleeve. It has slip-thru pocket that slides over the outsider handle of my Briggs & Riley baseline carry-on. Since the computer sleeve is checkpoint friendly I don’t need to take the laptop out of its sleeve at security screenings.
