Whoa – I’ve been on a spending spree since Saturday!! And now, I must be done with my Fall shopping; I don’t even have enough left for a new bag. But I decided that I don’t need one right now anyway (we’ll see how long that lasts…). And thankfully, it’s starting to feel a little like Fall here, although it will warm up a lot during the day…
So, on to my purchases:
First, Anthropologie. You know already that I love Anthropologie, but now, I love them even more. I took back the orange skirt with the broken zipper on Saturday to return it thinking I’d get the sale price because I didn’t have a receipt, but then I remembered that it was my first purchase using my Anthro card and that they could look it up. So, I got my full purchase price back!! Yipee!! And then I proceeded to turn right around and get this Velvet dress:
It’s really beautiful on – love the color (yes, I know…gray!!) and the detailing around the neckline. The fit is super-flattering also (my pic from the dressing room LOL):
Then, I went over to Calypso to try on this sweater I was looking at online (they were offering a 20% off code over the weekend, but I wanted to try it on first, before ordering) and found out that in store, they would give me $50 off any purchase over $150 (SCORE!), so I got it:
Some ways to wear it (took these to share with Sydney after I got home)

FINALLY…I went into Barney’s Co-Op to take a peek at the new stuff, and Rachel (the most super-fabulous SA) showed me an AMAZING Opening Ceremony cardigan that she just bought for herself. There is not a picture of it online anywhere, and it’s tough to describe, but it’s a long cardigan with pockets that’s cropped in the back. I mean, it’s kind of like shrug-length in the back, but down to my knees in the front, and it has kind of a patched, fair isle pattern in black/gray/white all over it. I loved it, but wasn’t sure enough to buy it on the spot, so I called Sydney to obsess about it for awhile after I put it on hold (because there were only 2 left in my size in the entire country) and she agreed to come back and look at it with me on Sunday. She did, and I bought it 🙂 It’s unlike anything I own, and therefore, I thought it deserved to be in my closet. Hopefully it will cool off enough that I can wear it, and I’ll take a picture for you.
And just when I thought I was done…Goldyn goes and offers 40% off their site today only with code “luckydaily1.” I mentioned to Sydney when we were out yesterday that if I got the Opening Ceremony sweater, that would probably be it for me for Fall, besides maybe a pair of No6 Shearling booties, and a necklace or two (I am in DIRE need of a longer, bold necklace). So now, because of Goldyn’s coupon code, I’m good on jewelry too!! I got these two necklaces for just under $150:
Now. I am done.
Are you doing any Fall shopping? What have you bought?
Love the dress and the sweater! They both look great on you.

thank you amy!!
Oh yeah! About my Fall shopping – we’re saving up for a security deposit because we plan on moving in November so shopping is not in my plans. Summer weather is just starting to hit where I live so I think I’ll be okay for a little while. I definitely need some sweaters but not too soon. I’m going to ransack my wardrobe and hopefully discover old cold-weather pieces I’d forgotten!

Oh man I LOVE your purchases!! That dress really was practically made for you, and the sweater looks so dang cozy! So far all I’ve got were some cuffed wedge boots, but I’m definitely in need of a cozy sweater like yours and I would LOVE to have a fierce necklace like those you grabbed!! 🙂
Great purchases! That dress looks great on you and I love the color in your pic. Is the jewelry Fallon? It’s so great and will be perfect with your style. Gotta’ have a cardi/wrap sweater like that to cocoon in this fall!

OMG It’s THE Dress!!!
I love this dress– I debated on getting the red, which really is such a nice bright, lipstick red, but I’ve been on the hunt for a grey dress forever… plus I think this is such a great neutral, that can be changed up with different accent colors.
amy´s last blog post ..In lieu of your Monday Dose of Cuteness-
amy, you looked amazing in that dress!!! i liked the grey better too – the red was nice, but not as versatile IMO. but…you know me and neutrals…LOVE them 🙂
