I am so ready for Fall it’s not even funny. Although we’ve had a very mild Summer here in Austin (by our standards), I love to dress in layers, and I really only get to do that here a few months out of the year.
Anyway, I’m not quite ready to shop for Fall, but I’m definitely putting together a wish-list. And one of the things I’d like to achieve going forward is a more “lady-like” look. Not an all-the-way feminine, ruffly, or girly look, I’m going for a powerful, put-together, minimal-chic look. Not unlike how I dress now, but elevated. Know what I mean? My FAVORITE looks above are those by Burberry Prorsum, which are still relatively casual, but waist-defining and completely pulled-together. And I always love some juxtaposition and un-expectedness in my outfits – here Burberry Prorsum achieves that perfectly pairing t-shirts with tweed pencil skirts.
The Preen looks are also gorgeous; I like the idea of a simple black dress with some embellishment or pattern/color up top. Of course, I love all The Row looks, but this dress I thought was absolutely stunning in it’s simplicity. The Altuzarra look is something I think would look good on my shape, and of course I love the color palette 😉
What’s your Fall inspiration? how do you decide your Fall look? Have you made your wishlist yet? (stay-tuned for mine next week!)
Love that all these looks somehow really define the waist! Not over the top, but certainly feminine and chic!
