I love boots. I love to look at them, and shop for them, but I have never owned a pair. This is definitely not for lack of trying, but alas, my calves are too HUGE to fit into most boots, and I’m too lazy to buy a pair and try to get them stretched (that’s assuming they can be stretched more than just a couple of inches).
Personal problems aside, I have always coveted a pair of Fiorentini & Baker boots. They have just the right mix of edge & femininity for me, they’re durable, and handcrafted by Italian artisans to assure they “age gracefully.” Honestly, with their prices, they SHOULD age gracefully – they should last forever!! Not that the prices are unreasonable by any means, but if I’m spending more than $500 for a pair of boots, I would expect to wear them for many, many years.
This classic motorcycle boot is my favorite:
Next, these ankle boots would look AWESOME with a pair of wide-leg jeans, or even with a knee-length skirt and tights if you have the legs for it:
These flat boots are fabulous – they would look great with a shorter skirt, or even leggings and an oversized sweater…
All these boots are from a mano but you can find them at several other boutiques online.
