I always get really excited for fall shoes because I LOVE boots and booties. I don’t/can’t wear them, but I love the idea of them, and how they look on others. The fall, I also love smoking loafers, wedges, clogs (of course!) and the occasional pump 😉 I’m really drawn into texture lately, also suede, embossing, interesting details…here are some of my favorites

I was lucky enough to get a pair of the Rachel Comey Mars booties in Black on sale for $260 at the Saks sale in early May. I haven’t worn them too much yet but I’m looking forward to fall.
Love the Isabel Marant and the Repetto shoes/boots, in particular! I would love to own an Isabel Marant anything! Maybe either of her fabulous flat boots! I also love the Rag and Bone boot; love the delicate details of the ties up the back and the open toes! What fun and how pretty! In the great Pacific Northwest, boots are fabulous for much of the year! Thank you for sharing!

Have you seen the Camper fall line-up? I am obsessed with the rubber/leather hybrid shoes in their collaboration with Capara: the loafer and the mary jane. I’m going to Montreal in a couple of weeks and can’t wait to try them on at the Camper store (fingers crossed they have them in store). For only $190 (Canadian), I think they’re a steal.
BTW, have you tried on booties/shoeties with your new bod? You might find they work for you! 🙂
#’s 1,2,5, and 7 catch my eye. I have a pair of flowered pumps (Don’t know where they are, but I DO have them…thanks for the reminder…menopause sucks! 😉 ). But I’ve got my sites set on a pair of Rag and Bone booties. I might have to save awhile for them, though. But that’s OK!
i’ve seen some of the camper styles, not the collab you’re talking about though. they don’t really excite me too much, but i do love camper’s price point and comfort 🙂
i’ve only just tried those splendid wedge/high-top sneakers, and they were awful on me, so by extrapolation, i assume booties, etc., will still not be great on me. i am interested in a short pair of madewell booties that are low on the ankle and straight across; i think those might work better than some. i’ll give them a try..
lucky!!! they seem to always be sold out in my size by the time they make it to sale. and i’m never convinced i’ll wear them enough anyway…

The way they are cut at the ankle is really flattering I think theyd look cute on you.
I am definitely excited for booties. Personally, I think they go with almost anything. They can be dressed up or down and that’s huge to me. I always try to style my clients with booties as long as they don’t mind. It ties an outfit together nicely 😀
