I had been looking at this tee at Barney’s Co-Op forever, but balked at the price ($125). When I saw it last week marked down to $70, I decided to try it on, just for fun. Big mistake – I fell in love with it instantly. The curved hem is insanely flattering, and I loved how soft and luxurious the material is. But I couldn’t buy it and decided to wait and see if it made it through another set of markdowns. It didn’t.
Now, there’s a new Fall color available, and I’m tempted. I’ll wait until it goes on sale, but I think it will be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. This tee is so unique it’s a statement in itself; imagine it under blazers, cardigans, with jeans, skirts, everything really.
I’ve always looked at Isabel Marant’s pieces as things I will WANT but never have, either because I can’t afford them, or I can’t fit into them. I’m really not sure her line lives up to the loads of hype it gets every season, but now that I’m starting to see more pieces in person, I’m impressed. Not enough to spend $125 on a t-shirt, but I always appreciate the quality and interesting details…
