Much to my fiance’s displeasure, I am a sweatshirt connoisseur (I’d also include in this hoodies, and any heavier weight jersey top). And I have a weakness for heather gray. And fleece. But I’m not talking about any old sweatshirts, I always look for interesting details and materials; things that elevate the basic sweatshirt from gym clothes to luxury loungewear.
Isabel Marant is perhaps most well-known for this, but I absolutely LOVE what Alexander Wang is doing fusing sweatshirts with trench coats & suede. THIS trench by Alexander Wang is the ultimate…perfect for me:

Eryn Brinie
– how cute is this sweatshirt? I love the narrow style and the bat sleeves/detailing on the back. And it’s only $65.
James Perse
– You already know how much I love James Perse, and his fleece is heavenly. And although I generally refuse to pay for destroyed and/or paint splattered clothing, I can make an exception for this paint splattered sweatshirt…the paint splattering is rather subtle, don’t you think?
Bop Basics
I’ve been obsessing over this sweatshirt/cardigan combo (what could be better?) since I saw it months ago at Shopbop.
Alexander Wang
I can’t leave this topic without featuring more Alexander Wang…
remember this I posted a while ago? Yes, I’m still obsessed:
And I just received this T by Alexander Wang sweatshirt yesterday – and of course promptly wore it…I love the slouchy fit, and the reverse sleeves look:
What do you think? Have any other favorites I didn’t post?
i really enjoy the alexander wang sweatshirt letterman jacket hybrid. mmm!
.-= fat stylist´s last blog ..Polyvore Set: Nearly Spring =-.
isn’t it amazing? that’s one of my favorites…
OOOOO….love the Alexander Wang (too cute!) and the Bop Basics (I think they’re doing a good job with their line. You???)
I get it…fleece is so comfy. It’s like the “comfort food” of fashion. Fleece=mac ‘n cheese.
i love bop basics! i wish the prices were a bit lower, but i like that they’ve taken basics and twisted them up a bit. (their t-shirts are amazingly soft)
and LOL about fleece = mac & cheese – it’s so true. it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside 🙂
