I never thought I’d miss Summer in Texas…but the 70+ degree days this weekend had me dreaming of warmer weather, dresses & sandals. Then I got the Steven Alan e-mail announcing the new Spring collection and fell hard for this dress:
Steven Alan Dress
Lillian Crowe necklace
Chloe Sandals
Jas M.B. bag – I saw this in person at Barney’s Co-op over the weekend, along with several more new season bags. It is TO DIE FOR. It’s small, but just what you need when it’s 100 degrees out…
What are you dreaming of for Summer?
there’s a pair of cornflower blue wide-legged pants in the SA spring lookbook that i’m kind of gaga for. but every spring/summer season i have a brief affair with wide-legged pants, only to decide that they’re not really flattering on me as i’m not very tall! π
Geez, Gretchen, these last few posts have given me a terrible case of the bag-envies. It’s pretty serious.
laurel, i can TOTALLY see you with this jas m.b. bag!! it’s awesome.
I already ordered several pairs of “higher” waisted trouser/wideleg jeans from GAP and I really want an orange Marc Jacobs bag!
oh…i’ve wanted to try their new wideleg styles – let me know how you like them!! and an orange bag sounds lovely π
That dress really caught my eye too – exactly what I picture when I think summer! Not that it will be summer here anytime soon. 24″ of snow on the ground and another 12″ Weds. Yuck! Still, I think the dress will eventually be mine. As an aside, FINALLY Steven Alan is making dresses long enough to be called “dresses” and not “tunics.’
I am 5’10” and I didn’t order the talls because I usually find that I have enough length (I don’t wear platforms or sky-high heels–foot issues). These run VERY long and I’m not sure yet, I feel like they’re a bit snug on my thighs. I got the dark trouser style and the trouser with the pintuck down the front of the leg. I like the slimming effect of the pintuck, but I’m such a dark wash girl that I am not sure if I’ll actually wear them.
