Which one would you choose? I’m not linking to them because I don’t want price/designer to influence your decision 😉 And if you DO know the designers of each skirt, pretend you don’t. (I’ll add the links tomorrow)
I’d choose THAT skirt because the THIS skirt is a bit too short for my taste. THAT skirt is too long, but at least with it I could hem it to my desired length. It’s also less pleated than THIS one, which I think is more flattering for me of the big hips.
So…which one do you like better? THIS skirt? or THAT skirt?
**edited to add links: THIS skirt is by Mulberry at Net-a-Porter ($435) and THAT skirt is Levi’s ($78). Does that change which skirt you’d choose?? For the price of the Levi’s skirt, I could have it altered, add a belt & change the buttons and still end up right around $125…
My vote is for That skirt (because I like the length of the skirt better) but maybe with an assist from the belt of This skirt (so cute!)?
i do love the belt on this skirt…
Give me some time and I’ll find you a vintage version!
Ok, this is a bit off topic, but I know you were in Rome not too long ago. I was wondering if you had any tips for good outfits/shoes (especially shoes) that you can recommend. We are going in May and I am having a heck of a time finding comfy shoes that can hold up to all the walking.
yes! i’ll email you, okay?
Yay! Thanks!!!
I have to say, I really love This skirt. I know you like the length of That skirt, but the contrasting buttons and belt are so lovely on This skirt. That being said, I think you’d look smashing in either one. I just like you to show a little more leg. I’m pervy like that 🙂
haha! i know, i know…show more leg…i hear you guys, but i don’t know if i can do it!
and i agree with you on the buttons, but for the price of that skirt vs. this skirt i can change out the buttons and still be WAY ahead.
damn, now i gave it away 😉
i keep waiting…
just kidding! i know there’s one out there!
I like that skirt better because it looks like it has a better drape. This skirt looks like it might be a great quality skirt but it would make hips look wide because it looks so full. There’s a reason it’s not being shown on a model. I once read a great article about why models are posed the way the are and if a model’s not in the garment there’s a reason for that too. I’m never opposed to showing leg but I don’t like to look hippy or wide. Pretty skirts.
I like THIS skirt better. It’s length is perfect, that combined with the pleats make it fun and flirty….perfect for spring. THAT skirt seems too long and matronly. It needs a little something extra…like the belt or contrasting buttons on THIS skirt.
My eye went immediately to THAT skirt. Just too much volume on THIS skirt! (and I’m old, so I don’t mind the length!)
That skirt! Less pleats, more flattering!
