I’m happy with just a pop of color…it’s enough for me. But I may have to break my unwritten no-necklaces-with-belts rule; I feel like this outfit needs a necklace. Although I would have put one on and taken it right off again because I would have thought it looked like too much going on. Some kind of fashion blogger I am, huh? 😉 I’m afraid to accessorize. There, I admit it.
I can’t be the only one out there…can I?
Aww, it makes me so sad that you are afraid of accessorizing. 🙁 There’s nothing better than a fabulous accessory in my opinion!!
I don’t think a necklace would have been too much, as long as it wasn’t a big one. Your belt is thin enough that some type of necklace wouldn’t compete, especially since they aren’t close to each other.
Love your new bag!! Yellow is missing from my handbag closet and I’m determined to find one this year

I like this outfit and it’s very elongating and flattering on you. I have the same sweater, or it looks like it anyway I love it cause it goes with almost everything and it’s so comfy. I think a necklace would have been the perfect finishing touch 🙂
i’m just overly-afraid of looking too “done-up” you know? it’s the same with makeup – i hesitate because i don’t want to look made-up. I always want to look “effortlessly” chic and “natural” – but sometimes I think that just ends up looking boring LOLOL!!
Love this look on you!! I am afraid of accessorize as well, I love the plain, easy look… but I also love necklaces!! Maybe it will grow on us : )

I loathe accessories. And, unsurprisingly, I think you look just perfect without a necklace. It would be too much. What’s wrong with necks, or collarbones, after all? There’s room for “white space” in visual design, why not the equivalent in style?

you’re absolutely right about “white space” and that’s why i generally default to no accessories instead of any at all…i always appreciate minimalism!!
thanks for comment!
hehe, i have to differ with Lisa here 😉 love my accessories, especially given how minimal my SH wardrobe is. if i were going out to a dinner or party, i’d definitely add a colorful necklace to a white tee!

I think you have one long, unbroken line with this outfit, and it is supremely flattering!! And the “pop” of color is perfect. I’m kind of on the fence about the necklace. I also hate to over-accessorize, but then again, I think under-accessorizing can look like I can’t make up my mind. (yes, I’m Val and I’m an underaccessorizing-aholic.) I think it could handle a larger necklace. Yup. There, my first step toward health!
I’ve always loved your minimalist look. Very chic and clean, sort of soothing even.
