Obviously, I can’t get enough of clogs, and clog sandals. Call me obsessed, but I prefer to just think of myself as a clog connoisseur; I just love them. My favorite clogs are by No6 (I have four pairs) and I will always default to them when it comes to styles & colors, but lately, there are several other clog brands catching my eye. Swedish Hasbeens has some nice designs for spring, and I love that they have a few styles around $100; taking their price range out of astronomic. I do have a couple of Hasbeens styles, but I’ve always found their leather to be VERY stiff, so I generally prefer No6 because they use nubuck and softer leathers in their designs. With No6 I’ve started sizing up one size on covered clogs (like the peep-toe slingback I have) because although the leather isn’t “stiff,” it doesn’t give much either and a larger size helps avoid design imprintation on the top of your foot! With No6 sandals, I keep to my normal size.
In case you didn’t know, most clogs you can find here in the US are made by Sven (actually by THE Sven) and either sold under the Sven name or private labels (like No6), so you’re getting a very high-quality product, the difference is just the leather styles. And there are a TON of styles to choose from. I’ve listed my favorites above, and on my Pinterest board for “clogs” (below), but what are your favorite clog sandals? Are you on board with clogs? or still on the fence? 😉
(please let me know your Pinterest name in the comments so I can follow you! And I can make the clog board a group board – which means you guys can post to it – if you’re interested! I’m trying to get more involved on Pinterest, I hear it’s fun 🙂 )
Hi Gretchen, love your blog.
I have recently started wearing more clog styles due to foot issues.
Curious as to why you don’t wear Danskos. Those are the ones I can most easily find. I’ve been wearing the Reeny and the Thea, mostly.
Do you generally order your clogs online, or do you manage to find these brands at brick and mortar stores?
Thanks!
I’m really interested in number 3 because I can’t wear higher heels. My question is, are they comfortable? I’d be willing to try them if they were. Would you size up? Down? Help! I don’t usually buy shoes on line because I usually feel like they have be tried on….
I’ve always taken my true size in swedish hasbeens, so that’s what I’d recommend.
I really-really-really want the No.6 black t-strap wedges.

I inquired with Sven awhile back about the wedge base because I was considering a custom pair from them. Alas they are not carrying it for spring and it looks like No.6 is the only place to get it.
Not to be contrarian at all, but I had the opposite experience with Swedish Hasbeens! I am a 9 and ordered a 39 and they were very pinch-y. The 40 was great. I think it may depend on the style- mine were the super high base which tends to push your foot forward.
I’ve heard that too – that a lot of people size up in SH. i guess it depends on how wide your foot is? i don’t know – i also never tried sizing up, so i might have liked larger sizes better!!
i love the wedges in theory, but after my rag & bone wood wedges (that were SO HARD to walk in), i tend to stay away from wood wedges….
i’m really tempted by the classic mid-wedges though. and the black t-strap wedges are amazing. they’d look FABULOUS with your harem pants 😉
i do wear danskos, but my favorite style is the basic professional, or the mary jane clog (like the professional but open, with a strap across the top – i have the mary jane in burgundy). I don’t really like the sandals – I tried on an open-toed style this weekend and felt like it showed a bit too much toe for my taste! and i didn’t like the look of the thea on my foot…i tend to like dansko’s more “traditional – professional” styles most.
i order almost everything online, mostly because i manage to find a discount (hate to pay full price!!), but also because it’s easier…
I love Number 2, the Nina Z’s (never heard of them before…have they been around awhile?) and the red ones, too. I’m not usually into clogs, but you’ve talked me into trying them. I have a cute pair of SVEN gold clogs (closed toe) that I wear with my jeans and I always get compliments. And I LIVED in my Bastaad clogs in college (70’s….hippie dippie trippie, you know!)
And, c’mon, you KNOW you are the “clog connoisseur”…heck, you’re the “Queen of Clogs”!!! 😉
Clogs are always super-comfy. I love how they make you look very feminine when teamed with summer dresses.
