Beija-Flor also sent me the Audrey jean to review:
As I mentioned in my outfit post last week with the Audrey jeans, overall I’m very happy with Beija-Flor denim. I wore the Audrey’s on the plane to Atlanta and then didn’t immediately want to take them off when I arrived at my sister’s house. I ALWAYS want to take my jeans off as soon as I get home…
Same goes for the Kelly POD (that’s pull-on-denim). I actually wore these on the plane back from San Diego a couple weeks ago and was also very pleased. (I think that’s the true test of denim comfort: being able to wear them sitting in an airplane seat for 2.5 hours) I generally prefer my denim to be 98% cotton so I feel like they’re REALLY sucking me in instead of molding to my body, but until now, I probably haven’t given stretch denim a fair shake. Stretch denim IS INCREDIBLY comfortable, but I still do like to have a pair of jeans in my wardrobe that is more structured, like you get with more cotton.
If I had to choose a favorite style between the two Beija-Flor jeans, I’d probably say I like the look of the Kelly POD, but the feel of the Audrey better – which is probably because the Audrey has only 71% cotton to Kelly’s 84%. Who’d have thought I’d love a stretchy jean so much?? I also love that neither of these gap in the waist at all (which is always a big problem for me). I prefer the Audrey’s lower rise for myself, but I know that many women love a mid-or higher-rise; in that case the Kelly POD is PERFECT for you. I will admit it took me a little while to get used to just pulling my jeans off instead of un-zipping them, but that’s minor. The POD also has non-functional front pockets so you don’t get any bulge on the front of the hips at all. The Audrey has very small pockets in the front, so you don’t get any bulge there either; Beija-Flor really thought of all the little things!
Like I keep saying, I really love these jeans. I honestly wasn’t sure that I would, given my bad luck in the past with stretch denim, but as soon as I put these on, I knew they’d be my new favorites. They’ve each been washed/dried once, and don’t show any fading or fit issues. Beija-Flor initially sent me size 12s, but they were much too big in the waist, so I ended up with size 10 in both pairs. Maybe size 10 is my “new” size, but I think if you’re ordering a pair of these, you should try and size down one size. Anyway, they have a money-back guarantee that you’ll love your jeans, so there’s no risk in trying them! AND, when you use code CLOSET at checkout, you’ll save $25. Bonus!!
**edited to add: I forgot to mention the length of these: I haven’t hemmed them yet (I’m just wearing them folded under for right now), but I will have to. The Audrey style is not nearly as long as the Kelly, but they are both too long on my 5’4″ frame. If you’re a bit taller, then the Audrey ankle would work perfectly (I only have to fold them under about 1.5 inches), but the Kelly is still pretty long.

I would choose the Emilie Happiness Jean-Miracle Bootcut. I love the slimming design and the pocket accent is so unique. I also love the white-wash blue color.
Great review! I’d choose the Audrey… although I’m having trouble making up my mind!
Thanks for the review! I’d never heard of this brand until I saw your email. I would love to try the Audrey black coated skinnies. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of coated jeans – maybe Beija Flor is it! Also I’m tempted by the Jarrett tangerine straight legs. And the Kelly POD. Yikes, I hope I win a pair or my bank account is going to hurt.
I think I’d choose the Kelly, because I prefer a higher cotton content. When I washed them, though, I wouldn’t have to worry about potential shrinking in the length because I’m so short!
I like the Nicole Butt-Lifting Bootcut Jean in Midnight Black — looks so perky! (Pun intended 😉
I’m like you, I always want to take off my jeans when I get home, so these sound wonderful! (I’m a little scared of the “Pajama Jean” connotation, tho’…but I think you’ve convinced me that they are nothing like that! 😉 I’d choose the Kelly because of the higher cotton count.
OK, I did it! I ordered the “Gillian POD” in black from the sale section and I still got the $25 off using your coupon! Thanks a million, Grechen, for turning me on to comfy jeans!! I can’t wait to tell you what I think (I might even get my courage up and take a real live pic!)
oh yay! those look nice…i love that they’re black. PLEASE let me know how you like them!!
Will do. I certainly like them on you!
I’d love to win a pair because I never have good luck with skinny/ankle jeans. They seem to always have issues fitting me – but these sound great! I love the idea of a good pair of stretch ankle jeans so I think the Audrey Miracle Ankle 5 pocket sounds perfect.
Oops, forgot to say why I’d love to win a pair: I’m always always always on the lookout for comfy skinny jeans that flatter my figure and won’t stretch out or bag out in the knees or bum. For some reason, this is very difficult to find. Based on your reviews, I really want to try Beija FLor!
I really want to try the Nicole Jeans in Red Vintage Coated. They’d be a fun way to shake up my Fall wardrobe, and I have hopes they’s fit better than most jeans I’ve tried!
Love. Them. My closet would be so happy with a pair of Audrey Miracle Ankle 5 pocket! please:)
I have heard so many great reviews of Beija-Flor jeans and they really have good styles.
If I’ll win, I’d get me the BETH JEAN – MIRACLE BOOTCUT
Thanks for this giveaway!
I DEFINITELY would pick the NICOLE JEAN – BUTT-LIFTING SKINNY (RED VINTAGE COATED) !!
I love the color – so right for fall – and my tush always needs a little help, so can’t go wrong there.

I would love to win a pair of the POD jeans… I love the dark wash.
Thanks for the great review. I think these look amazing on you! Plus, the fact that you flew in them (and were comfy) is super-good to know.
I’d pick their NICOLE JEAN – BUTT-LIFTING SKINNY in washed blue. My (flat) bottom is one of the banes of my existence, so these sound fabulous!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
I’d want the butt lifting skinny jean!
I think I’d choose the Audrey Jean – Miracle Skinny (Black Coated). I’d love to try this pair because it looks fantastic on the model in the picture! The jeans seem really flattering and she isn’t a size 0 so that’s great because it gives me hope that I can pull it off too!
Thanks so much for this great giveaway!

I would love to try the Nicole Jean – Butt-lifting Bootcut (Midnight Black).Just my style and I could really use the butt lift -lol!
I want to try these because they look great on you, and you have a lot of good things to say about them, so they must be awesome! I would take your advice and choose the Audrey Ankle Jeans, since I’m only 5’1!
Thanks for the review Grechen! I’d love to try the Audrey to test out its comfort and stretch too!
I am always on a hunt for jeans that don’t gap at the top and am desperately in need of jeans that fit after losing weight. I would choose the Kelly POD 2.0!!
I’ve been needing a pair of new jeans and love these: http://ilovethesejeans.com/our-collection/butt-lifting/nicole-jean-butt-lifting-skinny-611.html!
I would like to try a pair of jeans because a woman can always use an extra pair of nice jeans, right? I would like a pair of the skinny jeans. Thanks for the giveaway! [email protected]
I would love a pair of the Audrey Jeans, because I’ve worn out all of my other comfy Jeans and they no longer make them!
I think I’d favor the Kelly, both for the cotton content and the longer length. I’m at an odd inseam size- somewhere b/w tall/long and regular, although I really like pants that are cropped at the ankle. Thanks to you and the company for the contest!
I’d love to try the NICOLE JEAN – BUTT-LIFTING BOOTCUT (MIDNIGHT BLACK) , because they look amazing!
Audrey is my pick!! Thanks for this contest!
