I have become obsessed again with Anthropologie recently. I used to do most of my offline shopping there, and then I started to feel it was just over the top and too “girly” for me, but lately, I’ve found a lot of reasons to start loving it again. My last two Anthropologie purchases were actually gifts from my father (this sweater, and this jacket) but today, I spent WAY too long in the store trying stuff on. Of course, I couldn’t buy any of it, but I’m putting it all on my wishlist…
I loved this dress so much, and the size 12 fit me perfectly, until I sat down 🙁 the middle button wouldn’t stay closed LOL. I think sizing up would not look as nice, but I’ll try it, when I can afford to buy it…
This corset was INSANE! I loved it so much, and actually feel that the $88 was a reasonable price for it (it has a zipper up the back and lots of great detailing) but I really couldn’t figure out how to wear it right now – maybe it would be more versatile in warmer weather.
I also loved this jacket – I realize that it’s not supposed to close, but I’m not sure how I feel about that…it’s also reasonably priced, and would look great over dresses, since it’s cropped.
And in case you didn’t know, Anthropologie is offering automatic free shipping on orders over $150 until 12/23.
hmmm…you know, i went through the same thing with anthropologie a few years ago. i still love their home decor items, though! though i should stop by their rockefeller location sometime, it’s always like taking a fantasy voyage when i step into their stores…
.-= miss sophie´s last blog ..aww. so sweet! =-.
Quite often, I have a similar problem with dress shirts, where the section in between the buttons would pop open. The entire shirt would fit perfectly except for that area. Going up a size just makes me look sloppy.
Sometimes I would use a safety pin from the inside which is kind of a pain to get right, but then I discovered that a stud earring with a disk backing works very well. The earring ends up looking like well placed jewelry and the shirt stays closed.
For a while I thought that it was me, I know now that it is definitely the clothes… which is why I love the premise of your blog!
yeah, if i size up, the dress just wouldn’t look the same, i don’t look great with loose fitting clothes – it’s so frustrating when that happens, i always wonder if there are really people who can wear stuff like that perfectly. i know a lot more people than we think probably get stuff tailored, but sometimes the fit is just sooo off! i wonder if it can be fixed…
that’s a good idea about the stud earring though – i will keep that in mind!
i love to walk around and touch everything in anthropologie, a lot of the clothing is way too girly for me, but i can always find something i need LOL
