Besides my obvious favorites by Alexander Wang (Donna and Brenda), there are lots of other great bags where zippers are a design element in addition to being practical – and I’m loving it!! One of my major requirements in a bag is outside pockets, which is why I love the Alexander Wang bags so much. I really appreciate all the zippers from a practical standpoint, but I’m also digging the “edge” they add to some otherwise plain bags.

I absolutely adore my Botkier Venice Hobo, which I have owned all of two weeks now. It was a splurge (thanks for the LunaBoston code, Grechen – it helped a lot!) but worth it. Happy Mother’s Day to me, right?
I do not look like that model when carrying mine, but the bag makes me feel that good! The best part of the zippers on this bag is that they are all working zippers, and all but the two on the bottom actually hold a lot of stuff. I hid some candy from my kids this way – very clever.
There is even another hidden magnetic pocket, so with all the pockets I feel uber-organized and love the sassy style of this bag. It really does go with just about everything.
That Marc Jacobs bag is great – a bit more subtle use of zippers, and I love the pink Ginette shoulder bag.
LOL at hiding candy from the kids in your Botkier! i love this bag especially because it seems so easy to keep organized. maybe i need it in black….
