What I Did
I’ve been in Atlanta all week at my mom’s with my husband and step-son. Wow…does time fly! We’ve been busy, but not too busy, but it seems like it’s time to leave already (we’re going home on Sunday). Tired every night, but happy tired. We went to parks, a pool with water slides, the art museum, and many many trips to the grocery store and farmer’s market for fruit & meat to grill.
What I Bought
I placed one order for James Perse the day the sale started for the Crepe jersey flare dress and the boxy collage top in white (I had it sent home though, so I don’t have it yet). I REALLY want the open circular cardigan; it’s something I’ve been sort of obsessing over for a long time, but never can be sure how often I’ll wear it. I like the idea of a cropped, circular cardigan, but I default to long cardigans most of the time.
What I Got Rid of
I brought a lot of clothes for my sister, but she didn’t want any of the Inhabit cotton cardigans, so I’ll have a few of those up for sale soon. I sold my Balenciaga and Jerome Dreyfuss mini twee bags, the Red momo is up on eBay. I have a few things left to get rid of and then I’ll be finished purging for a while. Now the challenge is not adding too many new things back in. New things that I don’t need, that is…
What I Read
Not a lot this week! Still reading A Prayer for Owen Meany, but I’m not getting a lot of un-interrupted reading time here like I do at home on the weekends, so I’m not making great progress. And I’ve fallen behind on blog reading this week!
What I Ate
Leo loves nothing better than to grill outside when he can, and my mom is very happy to indulge him, so we’ve eaten grilled chicken, pork, steak, you name it, every day. I’ve tried to not over-indulge in the sweets, but I did make some gluten-free brownies from a Trader Joe’s mix yesterday and they were GREAT. Life’s short…a few brownies just make it sweeter π
Hope you’ve had a great week! If you ordered anything from the James Perse sale and have any feedback on fit, etc., please leave a comment on the original sale post, I’m going to do a follow-up with fit advice next week!
Sounds like you’re having a fun time in Atlanta. My hubby and I picked up our daughter at the airport after a six hour delay, during which I shopped and we went to a movie (“Snowpiercer”…disturbing!). No cookouts today for Bill’s birthday since we’re getting dumped on by Hurricane Arthur. No danger, but crummy. Although, the weekend looks bright, so I have high hopes for a couple of beach days and fireworks tomorrow night!
You should Instagram that butterfly pic…it’s GREAT!
It’s not that I didn’t *want* the Inhabit cardigans, my body type/shape wouldn’t do them justice right now. I would love them if I didn’t have a tummy. I LOVE the flowy cardigans you gave me! π
yes, you’re right…i’m sorry i put it that way π
