How was your weekend? I’m glad to report that Dagny is doing MUCH better after my post lamenting her anxiety on Friday – thank you all for your sympathies and suggestions! I think this might be something she can get over gradually on her own, in the meantime, we’re continuing crating her more often (to get her used to the idea that her crate is her sanctuary), and ignoring her whining and shaking. Amazingly enough, I think it was having a friend (human! not doggie..) spend the night on Friday that sort of jolted her out of her deep anxiety; she was ridiculously excited and forgot how scared she was!
We had amazing warm, beautiful weather this weekend. I sort of wished my toes were in better shape on Saturday to have worn sandals (because my feet got hot in my sneakers), but they weren’t. Anyway, although I’ve never lived in a particularly cold climate, sandals in February feels a little weird. As does bare legs. But, when the weather permits…
This week I’m traveling to Atlanta on Wednesday for a week, so I’ll post my travel wardrobe. It’s going to be SO COLD, and hard to pack for, since sweaters take up so much room, but I’m going to wear my heaviest, and pack only two more. Everything else is lightweight and should take up minimal room, so I think I’ll be able to get it all in my small carry-on suitcase. I have to, anyway…
Happy Monday!!
Given that it’s been about 9 degrees for much of the past 4 or 5 days, I envy you your hot feet! Although mine didn’t suffer, mainly because when we went out on Sunday evening I was wearing 2 pairs of wool socks, tights, long underwear and snowboots with a furry lining.
When I met my sister on Thursday night, she wore (and I am not exaggerating) 3 coats and 2 cashmere sweaters over jeans and t-shirt with heat-tech tank and leggings underneath. I didn’t ask her how many pairs of socks she had on but I’m sure it was at least 2. And then when she got inside she had to take it all off again.
Sunday night we just sat by the door so I left my clothes on 😉
I am saving up your casual jeans and cardigans outfit ideas for April. Or possibly May, the way it’s going.
i don’t know how you do it…
today it was very cold (not 9 degrees…but 30) and i lost feeling in my fingers & lips (maybe not all..but still…) after being outside for 45 minutes with dagny (wearing gloves & a hat). i couldn’t survive like that every day. no way.
