Video Review | Best Spring Beauty Buys

I’ve spent a lot of time at Sephora lately trying to find once and for all my holy grail skin care and makeup products, and I think I might have done it. For skincare, Caudalie is my go-to now, after many years of using only Kiehl’s; I appreciate that Caudalie is natural, and it seems to work very well for my dry, red skin. My newfound makeup love is HALO by Smashbox – watch the video for why – and thankfully, I’ve switched back to Nars Orgasm blush, which I think is perfect for my skin. Oh, and one thing I did learn that I DID NOT KNOW is that I should apply my blush AFTER the HALO, or after any powder for that matter. Also, I should use my YSL Touche Eclat AFTER HALO. Who knew? Probably most of you did, but I didn’t, and it has made ALL the difference!!

On to the video – I hope you enjoy!!

(I really tried to make it shorter, but I talk too much ;))

i had used it forever, until i tried the bobbi brown cream blush. i don’t know why i changed, but i’m glad i’m back to nars – i think it suits me better. and i was tired of using my fingers to put EVERYTHING on!!

I loved what you said about the Caudalie face products. I recently tried a serum that was made with resveratrol (which is what I think Caudalie contains, from the grape vines or peels or something), and it was GREAT. It was by “PrimaVera”. I’m also thinking more natural is better. Too many people I know have cancer, and I want to prevent all of that stuff, if it’s even possible, through a healthier life.

Well, you know I love my Bobbi Brown, but I won’t hold it against you that you switched and don’t love my favorite eye cream. ;-) I think everyone has preferences, for whatever reason. And I love NARS, too! I’m so happy that you’re loving HALO. It actually DOES increase moisture-retention in skin. And it has anti-oxidants, so it works on all of that aging stuff we don’t like about our skin.

I’ve GOT to get my hands on a YSL Rouge Volupte!! Everyone seems to love those!

And yay to videos!! Periodicallly. Cuz, truth be told, I don’t always take the time to sit and watch. I’m all about quick, quick, quick!!
