You know what I’ve been doing the last two days? Looking for a new bag. I’ve become convinced that I NEED a new bag – a tote specifically – and when that happens, I cannot stop until I find the perfect one. This Hope leather bag at Totokaelo is what started the obsession:
I love it – the color, the shape, the long shoulder strap…but I am worried that it will be hard to find stuff in, and that maybe the strap will be a bit long on me (and it’s not adjustable). But I do want to stay right around this price range ($300).
Here’s what else I’ve found:
I’m kind of intrigued by this Marc by Marc Jacobs satchel. It caught my eye first, because of the color and embossing, and second, I like the shape. It’s way more ladylike than I usually go for, but supposedly that’s the “it” shape for handbags this Fall, so….
I posted this Sara Berman for the Outnet bag last week in black, but if I buy it, I’ll get it in this olive/gray color. I like it, but I’m not 100% sold on it. Still looks deep.
I’ve loved Romy Gold’s bags since they first came out and this one is now an extra 40% off with code SALEITEMS until Sunday (9/26) at My Obsessions…which makes it VERY tempting. But it’s black 
This is Rick Owens, which means it’s WAY out of my price range right now, but it would be exactly what I’d buy if I could.
Then, I was poking around heist earlier this morning, checking out their selection of Jerome Dreyfuss bags, and it seems like the price has gone down a bit on the medium size? Now it’s $695…maybe worth saving up for? I loved my silver billy bag, but it was the large size, and just too large. And his leather is TDF.
*sigh* what to do? I get paralyzed with these types of decisions because when I buy a bag, I want it to be perfect, and last forever. Which one would you get?

I vote Jerome Dreyfus — it’s beautiful! Maybe wait a month or so until the sales hit. I agree with what you’re saying about the totes being too deep as I’ve made that mistake before. BTW have you checked out Furla’s bags – might be what you’re looking for (but more $$)
I’d get the Marc Jacobs but I’m a MJ whore. Ignoring that, I like the structured shape, the leather, and the strap if you need your hands free. I feel like the bag would become a classic you can pull out of the closet (or wherever you store your bags) year after year – and maybe pass down!

I like the Marc Jacobs, too. It’s sleek and beautiful, plus it looks like a size and shape that would help you keep everything inside it in order and easily accessible.

I’d be all over that Sara Berman for the Outnet bag in the olive/gray color. It’s got “Val” written all over it! (deep-schmeep! I usually end up digging through whatever bag I have anyway!!).
