Aando modular duster | $245
Made in the US outerwear-only brand The Arrivals launched their spring collection yesterday, and it is GOOD. Outerwear has never been my thing; I prefer to layer-up with sweaters and cardigans as opposed to coats and jackets, but this collection may change my mind.
The Arrivals’ modular pieces are genius, and their price-points are more than fair for garments designed and made in the US. I still don’t necessarily see the point of a sleeveless jacket, a la the Aando (I’m a HUGE fan of it with the sleeves though), but I LOVE the idea of the modular trench which can be either short or long with just a zip.
They also make great leather jackets and wool coats, but after our overnight snowfall of 3″ inches (IN TEXAS!!!), I’m SO over winter, I just can’t write about sweaters and wool anymore…
Behold, a few more of my favorites from spring:
Breuer Explorer jacket | $285
Frei modular trench coat | $385
Lassen denim jacket | $185
Have you seen The Arrivals? What do you think of the new pieces? Tempted to try anything?
If I needed a parka I’d consider the Artemis. However I bought a new coat from Nau this season and love love love it. But I’m ready to be done done done with it. Bring on spring (she says with three inches of snow outside).
yes, i love that parka . i’m thinking i’ll need one for next winter. it’s hard to get by here without some sort of coat…
Wow! This wasn’t even on my radar. Pretty chic, but I’m not sure I see it as very practical for my lifestyle. 3/4 sleeves just don’t work when the temps can vary by 20 degrees between day and night. And the duster without sleeves seems pretty avant garde, but not very workable for most women. But the made in the USA part is good.
