Ah…the search for the “perfect” Summer dress. Is there such a thing? Is there only one? I don’t know, but I kind of enjoy the search 😉 So far, I’ve found these two to be the best contenders for “perfect” Summer dresses. I actually owned the first one for about 24 hours, but took it back because it was a little low cut in the front for my taste, and I could see too much of my knees. I loved the way it fit though, the back is amazing, and completely covered up my bra straps (although I wouldn’t have worn a bra with this dress – it doesn’t need one if you’re small). The large gaped just a bit in the waist at the back, so I think I would have done better with a medium, but then it REALLY would have been too short.
If YOU don’t have neuroses about your knees and legs, then the Anthropologie dress is perfect – I thought it was very flattering on (I loved it on Sydney) and really comfortable for lounging around outside or visits to the park. The Madewell dress is also really cute and flattering on, but not on me unfortunately (or fortunately, as it may be!). Again, it’s a little too short for me, and I thought the pleating on the skirt added a bit too much bulk to my hips. I love the cut of the top though, and you’re not as hippy as I am, this dress would be perfect on you. It was perfect on Sharon.
Have you found the perfect Summer dress? What is it? Or is it a never-ending search for you too?
