I had a pair of platform Miu Miu clogs several years ago that I stupidly returned – I’ve been kicking myself (hard) ever since. They were nearly identical to Chanel’s clogs a la mode and so awesome – but VERY high. Even I had a hard time walking in them, and at that time, I was used to tall platforms. Anyway, the closest you can get to those, or Chanel’s, without going over $150 are these Jeffrey Campbell “Charli” clogs:
(the tan are available at Singer22, and you can save 10% off your order over $150 – the clogs are $150!! – with code GRECHEN)
Jildor shoes has the black and tan versions for $135:
Lori’s Shoes has the Jeffrey Campbell Charli clogs in Natural and Black for $126 (wow…a lot of price variation on these!)
Karmaloop has the clogs in tan for $134 (only in size 40 left though, but you can save 15% with code FAB15), and Footnotes Online has them in natural and black for $135 in several sizes. I did read on Singer22 that the clogs run a size small…FYI.
If these pictures of Alexa Chung in her Chanel clogs don’t make you want a pair…you’re beyond help ![]()
I honestly don’t like the Jeffrey Campbells as much as Chanel’s; they’re a little too “clunky” if that’s possible…but they’re not a bad alternative if you just want to enjoy the trend for a season or two. I may seek out the REAL Chanel version if I can manage to save enough money. But then again, I’d probably rather have a couple of pairs of No6 clogs in place of one pair of Chanel……….
