UGG boots

UGG? or Ugh…..

I’m not going to lie, I live in my UGG boots as soon as the temperature drops – I could NOT live without them. I say this, although I usually don’t wear my UGGs out of the house (except to walk the dog) and if I do, I always wear them under my jeans, so they basically look like just a shoe. I do think the tall boots have the potential to look cute with leggings or skinny jeans, but please, please, please, please, don’t show me another picture of a ridiculous Hollywood whoever wearing denim cut-off shorts and UGG boots. Gag me with a spoon.

You can’t beat UGGs for warmth and comfort in the Winter, but a fashion statement, they are not. Yeah, UGG did come out with some semi-attractive Summer shoes a year or so ago, and a pair of cute ballet flats – I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my sandals to be sheepskin-lined. I’ll stick to the UGG boots, thank you.

And speaking of UGG boots, Nordstrom has some great new styles on pre-sale right now, and I’m falling hard for these wedge boots:

UGG Corinth Wedge: $274

UGG Corinth Wedge: $274

They actually look like they might be able to fit my LARGE calves, and I always love a good wedge…

The Kensington boot is also nice – it could be cute with tights and a denim skirt:

UGG Kensington Boot: $199

UGG Kensington Boot: $199

They’re really expensive – UGGs always are – but if I had to, I would spend twice as much on my basic UGG boots; they’re worth it. I’m not going to pre-sale either of these styles; I’m really not worried about them selling out or not being available this Winter. But I do look forward to being able to try the Corinth boots – I’d love to have a great pair of boots I could actually wear out in public LOL!

Do you UGG? Or would you not be caught dead in a pair??

UGG Crochet Boots

I just bought these a few days ago as a ‘replacement’ pair for some blue UGG’s I bought last year on sale. I never really loved the blue color, but think UGG’s are ugly and didn’t intend to wear them other than for walking the dog, so didn’t mind the color so much. But once I actually put them on and discovered how wonderfully warm and comfy they were, I wanted more, and in a color I could wear with jeans, etc. While I intended to just get the classic short style in black, I saw these at Nordstrom and thought to just try them. They are different, to say the least, but interesting and comfortable, so I bought them. They are not as warm as the ‘regular’ UGG’s, so if it’s very cold, I wear socks, and they run TTS – which means, you buy your regular size instead of size down.

Anyway, I know they’re not the most attractive boot, but for running quick errands and keeping my feet warm and oh so comfy, they’re perfect.
