The new Spring 2011 Swedish Hasbeens collection is out and I’m kind of lukewarm about it. I think I might finally be “over” clogs; I’m DYING for more wedges right now….but here are some of the styles I do like:

(these flats might be my favorite! Love the perforated leather and the nod to a classic oxford, but with a lower vamp)
What do you think? Are you still loving clogs (if you ever did)? Do you like any of these new styles?

Obviously I haven’t done anything with my hair yet, it’s still a mess. Actually here, it was still drying and disheveled.
This DarylK dress is about 5 years old, and it’s one of my favorite dresses. I wore it a lot when I first got it, then not so much the last couple of years. I love that the waist is elasticized, but the pleating around it tends to add bulk to my middle and hips (right where I don’t need any), so I end up not wearing it all that much. It’s also very thin and transparent, so I always have to wear a slip with it, something I’m not crazy about in 90 degree heat. But…I am still trying to resurrect old favorites from my closet and thought I’d give it another run!
Oh, and I know it’s not technically a LBD, but it’s MY version of a LBD – casual & easy.
What I’m wearing:
DarylK dress
Swedish Hasbeens sandals
Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag in tangerine
My twitter/blog friend Janette was asking about Swedish Hasbeens on twitter the other day, and as I was trying to find her places to buy them, I noticed they were all on sale…some for about 50% off. I really love mine, although I don’t wear them as often as I thought I would, mainly because of the color. I love the blue color, but I sometimes wish I had a more neutral color like the “natural” or a brighter color, like the red. But they’re SO very comfortable, that I would really like to make an effort to wear them more. (I got my “normal” size – I’m an 8 and took a 38)
Here’s where to buy them on sale:
At Otte NY for $99 (they also have the red and the brown version of these):

Braidid High Sandal in Blue
At a mano:

High Sandal in Mustard: $168
at endless – they’re running a promo right now where you can take an extra $25 off of all Swedish Hasbeens + other styles:
 Super-High sandal: $175 | Nature Wedge: $177 | Super-High clog: $189 |
There are three different heel heights you should be aware of: the low, high, and super-high. Mine are high – although they’re really not that high, I would like to have a pair of the super-high sandals. There’s also a wedge style. The leather is a little snug at first, but it does stretch out, and molds perfectly to your feet.
Swedish hasbeens also has more colors and styles on their own website, and with the exchange rate, they’re actually cheaper than online places, but I ordered mine from endless anyway, because I wanted free overnight shipping…
