I decided over the weekend that I’m sending back my TOMS wedges. I just don’t love them. I did get some foot petals “heavenly heelz” and I think that solved the heel-flipping problem, but they just didn’t “wow” me in person. And anyway, I’d rather have these:

So, Net-a-Porter did it, Brown’s Fashion did it, and now Revolve’s doing it…creating “outlet” shopping sites, that is. Unlike the other two, Revolve’s Rewind is somewhere I can definitely imagine myself shopping. It’s kind of a cross between where “old” clothes go to die, and really cool, but cheap stuff, so I was able to find a lot of things I’d spend my money on…like this Dunlin handbag marked down to $348:

And this pair of Steven Alan pants, marked down to $118:

Review: Joie Kass Metallic Flats

by grechen on March 15, 2008 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

I’ve actually had these flats for several weeks now, but wanted to wait a bit to do a review.

Joie Kass Metallic Flat Review

I got them in my regular size (8) from Revolve Clothing. They are super-comfortable, fit my feet perfectly, and I’ve been wearing them CONSTANTLY. I wanted to wait to post a review until I learned whether or not the foil would “chip” or “peel” at all, and it seems that it will not. I’ve tried to take care of these shoes: not leave them around just anywhere, make sure stuff doesn’t get thrown on top of them…but then my niece (who is 1 1/2) stepped all over them, and played with them, and nothing happened! So, I’m now convinced they’ll hold up well to just about anything but rain (I haven’t experimented with rain yet, and I don’t plan to). One thing that’s a little strange, but to be expected, is that the suede lining “bleeds” onto your feet a bit – so they become a little pink. This isn’t a problem for me by any means, but just be aware.

Here are some recent outfit pictures:

Outfit details (from left to right):
1. James Perse Cami Dress with Mike & Chris Taylor Hoodie on top. Andrew Marc Hobo Bag
2. Gap Long & Lean Jeans, Casch Copenhagen Jacket on top of James Perse v-neck, with Virginia Johnson Scarf. Jenny Yuen Bag
3. Gap Lon & Lean Jeans, Black theory cashmere sweater over James Perse Tee. Jenny Yuen Bag.

Corso Como Flats

July 9, 2007

I’m still in love with flats, with jeans, skirts, dresses…whatever. These are such a gorgeous, deep red color they’ll be the centerpiece of any outfit. Corso Como shoes are also supposed to be incredibly comfortable, it helps that they’re less than $200 too. At Revolve Clothing.
