must-shop sample sales January 19 - on Gilt: Tucker, Final Sale. on Rue La La: Romygold. on Refinery29 Reserve: Stephanie Johnson travel cases, Public bikes, AlleyCat Trade & Beth Lauren Jewelry.
Stuart & Wright has three Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bags on sale for $660:

All of these are the large size, which is the same size Billy Bag that I have (see outfits for real-life pictures). At first, I was concerned it would be too big, but when I use the shoulder strap, it’s much more manageable. And when I do need to carry more (like when traveling), I use the handles and can carry a TON of stuff, very easily. The Jerome Dreyfuss Billy bag is a classic bag, totally worth the investment (especially on sale!).

WEARING:
J Brand Aubergine mid-rise skinny pants
Rachel Comey clogs
James Perse tee
Vince sweater
Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bag
Lizzie Fortunato necklace
I may be pushing my luck here with the skinny jeans…but I had some stuff to take back to Anthropologie yesterday AND my 15% off birthday coupon to use, so I got these J Brands for nearly nothing. I took them into the dressing room just for kicks and ended up leaving with them! I do like them – especially the color – but it’s still tough for me to get used to showing so much. I don’t even like to wear short skirts in the Summer…wearing skinny pants really leaves nothing to the imagination!!

These are technically “straight” jeans, but on me, they’re more skinny. They’re the first pair of “skinny” jeans I’ve found that I think are actually flattering on me. I did have to size up one size though, which is kind of annoying, but no big deal! I wore them a lot while we were in Italy, and on the plane back home. They’re really comfortable and generally stretchy, but not so much that I look like I’m stuffed in them. At least I hope not
Have a great weekend!!

Thanks to Sharon, I am now the proud owner of a camel corduroy blazer! This one is much better on me than the J Crew version, first, because it’s not as “thick” or heavy, and second, because it fits. I also think the color works better with my skin tone than the darker camel. The sleeves are a tiny bit short when I’m wearing a long sleeve tee underneath, but that doesn’t bother me.
Sydney also found me the white tuxedo-type blazer I’ve been searching for! If it’s cool enough again tomorrow, I’ll wear that one
It pays to have friends who are amazing thrifters. Especially since I’m not!
