My husband bought me this dress from Anthropologie several months ago, and while I’ve worn it several times, this is the first time I was able to get an outfit picture. Sadly, I don’t see the sleeveless, longer version for sale anymore, but they do have the shorter, 3/4 sleeve version still on the site. Even though my dress is sleeveless, it’s still more of a Fall/Spring dress than a Summer dress because of the double layers and that I have to wear my heavy-duty Spanx underneath. Today it only got up to the mid-80′s and it was starting to become uncomfortable. It is great for traveling though, so comfortable for the plane…
I also got some highlights on my hair today, to give it more interest and texture. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but she did two colors, blonde & orange-y red. The effect is still pretty subtle, but in person, it’s really pretty, and a little unexpected. I’m so happy with the cut and color, although Kelly’s beginning to convince me that I can really lighten up and do an all over orange-y red color this Summer. We’ll see!!
And thanks to a reader from Italy, hi Clara!!, I went to go check out W3LL people cosmetics today while I was out with my friend Rachel. In this picture, I’m wearing all W3LL people cosmetics, but I only left with the mineral powder, the Altruist. It seemed to do a lot to diminish the redness on my face and even out my skintone – much better than the Smashbox primer I bought yesterday using the Sephora discount code – and I love the way it feels on my face. I’ll go back and get more products as I run out of the stuff I already have; I really love this line.

The new Spring 2012 collection is up at Jerome Dreyfuss and he’s launched several new styles this year, including the Etienne. I love the available colors, but I think I’d choose the white if I could get one; it just seems to “work” in this style. They’ve also launched the Jerome Dreyfuss e-shop recently and some styles of the Billy and other bags are marked down.
Please click through to the collection, if only to hear the little boy say the names of the bags when you click on them. SO CUTE. I don’t know if he’s their son, or what, but I love to hear him enthusiastically pronounce the names!
Stuart & Wright has three Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bags on sale for $660:

All of these are the large size, which is the same size Billy Bag that I have (see outfits for real-life pictures). At first, I was concerned it would be too big, but when I use the shoulder strap, it’s much more manageable. And when I do need to carry more (like when traveling), I use the handles and can carry a TON of stuff, very easily. The Jerome Dreyfuss Billy bag is a classic bag, totally worth the investment (especially on sale!).

WEARING:
J Brand Aubergine mid-rise skinny pants
Rachel Comey clogs
James Perse tee
Vince sweater
Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bag
Lizzie Fortunato necklace
I may be pushing my luck here with the skinny jeans…but I had some stuff to take back to Anthropologie yesterday AND my 15% off birthday coupon to use, so I got these J Brands for nearly nothing. I took them into the dressing room just for kicks and ended up leaving with them! I do like them – especially the color – but it’s still tough for me to get used to showing so much. I don’t even like to wear short skirts in the Summer…wearing skinny pants really leaves nothing to the imagination!!
