Actually…this isn’t what I REALLY wore today. I really meant to wear it, but about 30 minutes before I was supposed to leave to meet my friend Indiana for lunch, my Gilt & Inhabit NY orders arrived and I had to try them on and ended up wearing my new Inhabit NY sweater & jeans instead. I’ll show you that outfit tomorrow 
And anyway, I’m not so sure I’ll be keeping these pants. I really like them, and I wanted them to replace the H&M sweatpants I bought recently that are just too short now (I tried to keep them out of the dryer…but that didn’t last very long), so I put them in my cart at JP to think about. And – this is a good trick James Perse – after I forgot about them, I got a note from my “shopping cart” at JP that they would offer me free overnight shipping if I’d checkout within 24 hours. Well, okay, if you insist. They arrived today, and they’re thinner than I thought they’d be, but I love the fit, and comfort. They’re not too tight, or too loose…and I think they’ll be a good, more “interesting” sweatpant alternative. But I’m still not 100% convinced. So I haven’t worn them out yet.

So, after deciding on doing a “30 days of James Perse” challenge on Friday, I’ve decided not to do it right now for a few reasons:
- I’m too attached to my new Anthropologie skirt to NOT wear it for 30 days
- After segmenting out all the James Perse in my closet, I realized about half of the 55 items I have are long-sleeve or sweaters/cardigans I wouldn’t be caught DEAD in right now. Yes, I know this is supposed to be a challenge, but I think it would be more fun in the Fall/Winter when I can actually wear more of my James Perse pieces
But, in homage to my closet-full of James Perse I decided to grace you all with a picture of my FAVORITE item in my closet – that includes my ENTIRE closet. Really. It’s my cami dress, and I think it’s at least 7 years old? It’s one of my older James Perse pieces, but it has held up remarkably well (I wash in cold water and always dry on low heat). I don’t hang it anymore because I noticed the straps stretching a little, but on most days I’m wearing this dress for at least a few hours. I don’t wear it out much anymore because it’s a bit shorter than I like (you can see my knees!!! ack!!!) for normal wear, but I wear it constantly to walk the dog, and lounge around the house. This is the ONE thing I’d love to see James Perse do again – I’d buy one in every color. The fit is absolutely perfect, and the waistband hits exactly at my waist, it’s wide, and the skirt is only slightly a-line. PERFECTION. So, James Perse, if you’re reading, please bring back the cami dress. I know I’m not the only one who would stock up…

I love the Bloch flats!! I ordered them from Gilt and took my true size; they’re perfect! They’re really padded and the leather is thick and so soft…
Also wearing James Perse leggings (yes, really. they’re going in the wash today!), James Perse black skirt, A.P.C. striped shirt and Splendid thermal wrap I picked up on sale at Saks this week. And…Alexander Wang Diego Bucket bag.
