WEARING:
Inhabit NY Cashmere cardigan (gifted)
INDi custom jeans (they’re offering 30% off until 1/13)
DV by Dolce Vita Jamison Booties
Splendid tee
Candace Ang necklace
Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bag (other colors on sale at Stuart & Wright)

Yesterday it was 75 degrees here in Austin – today, it stayed around 50. No wonder I’m sick. But it was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Inhabit cashmere cardigan (graciously sent to me by Inhabit NY). I got a size large, because I wanted it to be oversized, but I cannot say enough good things about this cardigan. It’s 100% cashmere, and thick – SO WARM – and it has enough interesting details so it doesn’t look like you’re literally wearing your grandpa’s cardigan (I did take out the shoulder pads though…didn’t want to look like Tim Tebow ;) ). It’s on SUPER sale now, and with the extra $20 off code CASHMERE, it would be $219 – a mere fraction of the original retail. If you’re a cashmere-lover and always cold, you will love it, and wear it constantly for many years; I had the previous “version” of this cardigan for nearly 4 years, and I wore it every day during the Winter months.

Also, I’m really loving my INDi custom jeans lately – the wash is just right, and I’m getting used to the fit. The rise is higher than I normally wear, and they don’t gap at all in the waist; something I’d gotten used to with most jeans, but I appreciate the custom fit now. I still think they’re priced a bit high, but if you can get them for 30% off they’re worth it, especially since you won’t have to get them altered!

I haven’t tried any of the “new classic” pieces, have you? I love the colors though, maybe I’ll get the cobalt blue t-neck?

Inhabit was nice enough to send me a gift from the Fall collection recently, and I chose the lux shawl collar cardigan. It is AMAZING. So well made, comfortable and what I want to live in everyday. And I probably will…it’s replacing the older version that I’ve had for several years that I DO wear everyday at home. Stay tuned for an outfit post later today!

Let me know what you pick up from the sale!

Outfit: Cozy

WEARING:
Massimo Dutti jeans
Massimo Dutti booties
T by Alexander Wang tee
Cashmere sweater (old)
Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bag

It’s cold and rainy here (which is kind of surreal!), so I’m just going for cozy today. I’ve had this sweater for years (sent it to me as a gift) and since it lost a button I’ve really not worn it out of the house (but I wear it EVERYDAY inside the house. Just ask my husband ;) ). Now that I found the button, I need to put it back on, but I feel like I’m close enough I can wear it out anyway. I’m just going to Starbucks to work – for a change of scenery – and it’s always beyond freezing there. So, cozy it is.

What’s your favorite cozy outfit?

Inhabit sample sale on Swirl (by Daily Candy)

February 2, 2010

Just what we needed, another sample sale site. I really don’t care much for Daily Candy’s version; the prices are way too high for an online sample sale site in my opinion. The designer selections are nice, you won’t find many of them on other sites, but I normally don’t check out many of the [...]
