I love all of Virginia Johnson‘s prints – and now they’re on sale. Virginia Johnson’s wool shawls, cotton scarves, huge totes, and printed dresses are all marked down on her site.
Since she doesn’t have any of the owl printed shawls left, my next favorite is the Elephant!

I’ve mentioned before how intimidating I find Etsy…there are SO MANY sellers to browse through that my attention inevitably wanders to other things and I never find what I’m looking for. Honestly, most of my favorite Etsy finds have come as recommendations from fellow bloggers and fashion fanatics I interact with online. (I did recently put together a great list of plus-size eco-friendly designers on Etsy…but there aren’t many of those to search through)
So, today, while catching up with fellow Twitter-er and Independent Fashion Blogger Jennine from the Coveted, I discovered my new favorite Etsy seller, SwanClothing; Jennine posted pictures with her new handmade bag and I fell HARD.

I LOVE the first grey louche and envision it as the key accessory to round out a romantic/vintage outfit, but I think it would be just as easily suited to a t-shirt and jeans.
Each of these bags is handmade in Canada using natural/deadstock/overstock fabrics and notions, and industrial strength hardware. Each SWAN purse has a secret embroidered swan, in addition to a quilted rose on the front of the bag. Another of the great details is the braided shoulder strap.
Visit SWANClothing’s Etsy shop and then check out her blog.
