From the lovely people behind shopchantal.com, comes a new online site just for sale items: designersalerack.com. All items are marked down 75% and it’s not stuff that you wouldn’t be caught dead in because it is “so last year” – it’s all current inventory that’s been marked down! Women’s items are from Nannette Lepore, Genera, Trina Turk, EDUN, Rebecca Taylor, Graham & Spencer, and lots more. And the men’s items are great as well – Splendid mills, Velvet and Original Penguin tops are marked down to below $15 (I’m tempted by some of these for myself – big comfy long sleeve tees to wear around the house with leggings in the Winter…YUM!).
And this will only illustrate how geeky I am, but the best thing about designersalerack.com? It’s basically a blog with e-commerce, so you can subscribe to the RSS feed and be notified of new sale arrivals right in your Google reader – or on your browser toolbar. (I was actually just lamenting that all my favorite retailers don’t do that…it would be so much easier to keep up with new arrivals!)
Here are two of my favorite sale items (I think they would go wonderfully together also!)

Genetic Denim: $59.40 (orig. $220)

Nanette Lepore: $74.25 from $275
Check out designersalerack.com – and let me know what you find!
I’m really not a huge fan of these spend $x get $x off coupons – the best deal is always when you spend the most money. As in this case, when you spend $800 you get $200 off, so that’s a 25% discount – not bad for Shopbop. I mean, the rest of the discounts aren’t so bad ($25 off $200, $75 off $400, and $125 off $600), but you’re getting down to a little less than 15% off with the first bracket. Which still, isn’t bad for Shopbop. But to REALLY get your best deal, you need to spend as close to the cut-off amount as possible, which is somehow always hard to do.
Anyway, since I can’t spend $800 at Shopbop this time around, I’m going to play the “What would I get for $800 at Shopbop” game…(I’m really tempted just to go for the Alexander Wang Donna Hobo in denim blue now that I have the bone and love it so much, but I’ll be more creative than that)
James Perse Dress $125 | Generra Dip Dye Gathered Dress $175 |
Melissa Joy Manning Earrings $65 | Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Gladiator $203 |
Elizabeth and James Bracelet / Necklace $150 | Elizabeth and James Snake Wrap Ring $100 |
Wow, it was harder than I though trying to spend $800 at Shopbop on more than one thing LOL! So, I “spent” $818 which would bring my total to $618…not bad for what I chose.
What would you buy for $800 at Shopbop?
Goldyn has just launched an online sample sale where select designers (Generra, Eros, Development, Mon Petit Oiseau, Adam Corey Lynn Calter, Charlotte Ronson, D Collection, Fremont, Hartford, H Fredriksson, Kasil, Mint, Poetic License, Rachel Mara, Wendy Katlan, Union) are 60-80% off through March 20. As with the Shopbop sale, all sales are final with this code, so be sure what you’re buying will work for you!!
I personally love the Generra basics, but it’s worth taking some time to browse the designers, there are some hidden gems!!

Charlotte Ronson Espadrille: $30.80 | Fremont Virginia Dress: $36 |
 Mon Petit Oiseau: $54 | Wendy Katlen: $70 |
