comme des garcons

It’s too hot to leave the house today, or even to care about what I wear, so I thought I’d do an “in my bag” post – it’s been a while…

Bag: J.W. Hulme Linwood Bucket Bag – I’m so glad I was able to get this on sale; it’s super-versatile without being too big. It is bigger and not as organized as my Legacy bag, but it’s great for everyday and easy to carry crossbody, or on my shoulder.

Inside:
Comme des Garcons wallet – I won’t bore you again by telling you how wonderful this wallet is, but it is. I’ve had it for about 4 years I think.

Comme des Garcons pouch

Baggu bags – the larger one is No6 + BAGGU

Small Moleskine notebook

Laura Mercier lipgloss in bare beige

Pangea Organics lip balm – I got one of these in a Birchbox a couple months ago, then they showed up on Gilt, so I ordered 6 more!! Seriously, this is my favorite lip balm ever, even better than Kiehl’s (gasp!) because it really moisturizes and doesn’t “disappear” – if that makes sense…

Snacks :)

What bag are you carrying right now? What’s in it?

Again…another amazing collaboration from Repetto, this time with another of my favorite accessory designers, Comme des Garcons:

They’re available now for £275 at Dover Street Market in the UK (0207 518 0680) but not online. yet. I’d love that middle pair…

Still Obsessed with…

these Play by Comme des Garcons X Converse shoes (now available at Opening Ceremony)

although I NEVER (or hardly ever) wear my regular low-tops. Maybe I would wear these more often just to look down and see the awesome logo? or maybe I wouldn’t. Maybe I’d just like to own them.

They’re still available in quite a few sizes at Saks (d*mn me for not getting a pair when they were 25% off during the friends & family event), while they’re nearly sold out everywhere else.

What I Need for Fall: Play by Comme des Garcons for Converse

August 3, 2009

I think it would be accurate to say that I’m obsessed with all things Comme des Garcons. I have a CdG wallet that I love more than I’ve ever loved a wallet before (and hope to never have to replace), and I cannot wait until I can manage to get my hands on a Play [...]

Comme des Garcons, Part 5?

January 7, 2009

It’s time for my periodic Comme Des Garcons update here on Grechen’s Closet – I simply cannot profess my love enough… I’m still in LOVE with my large wallet (mine is like this, but blue): and am trying VERY HARD to resist buying this (I’ve been coveting for months), even though it’s marked down about [...]

Comme des Garcons at Shopbop

August 4, 2008

Shopbop has just added Comme des Garcons to their already long list of designers, and I couldn’t be more excited. I purchased my Comme des Garcons embossed wallet earlier this year from Tobi and not only will I not need another wallet for many years, I will never buy another designers wallet again. That is [...]

Comme des Garcons Wallet

January 10, 2008

Ever since I found an awesome long wallet by Neet at Anthropologie several years ago, I’ve been addicted to big/long wallets. Not only because I carry a big bag, but I also like it to zip all the way open, so I can stuff EVERYTHING into it, including my phone and keys; that way, I [...]
