It pains me to do this, but I don’t carry my Alexander Wang Donna bag very much anymore, and I really hate for it to just sit around (in it’s bag of course). The Donna was my first Alexander Wang bag, and it’s actually one of the very first bags he designed. I’ve had it for several years, and it’s been well used, but that’s only made it more soft and interesting. This bag has perforated leather trim/details, including underneath the front-to-back zipper. There is some denim staining on the back of the bag, but when it’s zipped up, it’s barely noticeable. Comes with a dustbag.

I’m asking $300 + shipping ($15 USPS priority mail) for it – US shipping only. It’ll be available until 5/24 and I’m happy to answer questions or send more pictures if you leave a comment. Please help me find Donna a good home
And since we’re on the subject of selling, I AM going to launch a marketplace here for select designers/items and that will probably happen next week. Of course, I’ll keep you posted. I’m not promising anything, just offering an alternative way to sell your gently used Rachel Comey shoes, No6 Clogs or whatever. My role is just to act as a billboard – I will NOT be held responsible for ANY problems. Hopefully there won’t be any!

WEARING:
J Brand skinny pants
Joie linen top (old)
Barney’s co-op cardigan
LD Tuttle wedges
Alexander Wang donna hobo
Dannijo necklace
Today’s outfit was really difficult. I decided I was going to try and wear these purple pants again, so I did. But it was tough for me to leave the house, honestly. I thought I looked okay, but I don’t really like to draw SO much attention to my thick legs, so I don’t wear these very often. I stuck to my guns though and kept them on even though it was VERY HARD.
Then I went to MOSS to drop some stuff off, caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and was kind of horrified. Afterwards I went to Barney’s Co-Op and couldn’t get enough of looking at myself in the mirrors there – I thought I looked normal, even GOOD! It was weird. Although I know every mirror is different, depending on their angle, which one is reflecting the “real” me? How do I REALLY look?
Who knows? Who even cares? As long as I feel good and put together, what else matters? And I did feel pretty confident today in my outfit, even though it was initially difficult to wear. The fact that I made the decision to wear it and stop over-analyzing gave me the push I needed to just move on.
Do you ever have those moments when you’re out and see yourself differently in different mirrors?

WEARING:
Bordeaux skirt from Anthropologie (no longer available)
Splendid cami/tank
James Perse sweater
Swedish Hasbeens clogs
I love this skirt so much (thank you Sharon for convincing me to buy it!), but man, it is hard to walk in. No, I take that back, if I roll the waist up so the hem doesn’t come close to the ground then it’s fine (I wore this in Italy with boots, walking several miles to the Vatican, around the Vatican museums and back again!). But if I’m wearing it with heels, they get stuck in the hem all the time; I was probably walking on the skirt half the time and didn’t know it. Yuck.
But this is the bane of my existence – skirts/dresses that are too long. I took a few new jersey dresses to be hemmed last week and remembered why I try not to do that – ever; the hem never looks the same afterwards. It always puckers a little. I’m sure I’ll be the only one to notice that, but it bothers me. I almost hate rolling skirts up at the waist more, but sometimes that’s all I can do to get them a length I can come close to wearing.
It’s hard being short
Oh! I got a comment yesterday asking me what bras I wear with t-shirts, it’s a good question, so I’ll answer it in a post tomorrow!

Massimo Dutti jeans
Repetto flats
James Perse sweatshirt
Alexander Wang Donna bag
Ugh. I went to Nordstrom to try on Paige jeans with the intention of ordering some with the Refinery29 Reserve deal for Paige (spend $100, get $200) and the deal was EXPIRED by the time I got home!! I usually don’t wait so long to buy one, but I wanted to try on the jeans first. Oh well. I did like the Skyline Skinny jeans, in “Twilight” wash (which they don’t even have on the Paige site), but I wish they were available in petite. Guess I’ll have to wait for a code or sale; I can’t believe I missed it! I better snag that Alkemie jewelry deal ASAP.
Anyway, that aside, I’m never going back to my “old” way of dressing again – I love not worrying or thinking too much about my outfits. Now, I just put them on and am done thinking about them. yay!
