Today is one of those days. I hated everything I put on, I didn’t want to wear anything, and definitely didn’t want to leave the house. But I did – and the only thing I felt good in was my long black skirt, t-shirt & flat sandals. In fact, I think the only thing I love in my closet right now is this Madewell skirt – it’s time that I get the gray one. And then get rid of EVERYTHING ELSE IN MY CLOSET.
Okay. Obviously the PMS has taken over, but I do have too much stuff. I do kind of love having so much, but at the same time, it’s a curse; I don’t even KNOW what I have. I don’t wear the things I do love often enough to even have them. And then because I do have so much, I can’t find what I want and know is there! Ugh. I love choice – I’d rather have a choice than no choice any day, but for me, right now, having TOO MUCH choice in my closet is very, very bad.
So, I’m going to be getting rid of stuff. A lot of stuff. Starting with my Alexander Wang Darcy hobo in luggage (last seen here). I love it, but it’s not “me” anymore. If you want it, contact me and let me know ASAP – I’ll be listing it on ebay in the next couple of days…
Do you ever have days when you feel like you have TOO MUCH stuff? or not the RIGHT stuff?
I made the executive decision over the weekend that I’m not going to be taking outfit pictures in front of my kitchen door anymore. BORING. That means I probably won’t be able to post an outfit everyday, but at least the outfits I do post will be prettier. In theory anyway. Time to step it up a notch around here! I may even invest in a DSLR!!

Over the weekend, Sharon and I went to the JAMES PERSE OUTLET!!!!!!! in San Marcos because 1. it was tax-free weekend and 2. they were offering an extra 30% off. 30% off and no tax?? believe me, it was tough not to buy a lot more, but I had a budget, and I blew it on two things. One was this top. It’s 100% viscose and besides also trying it on at Neiman Marcus, I haven’t seen it online anywhere. It was $30, and I LOVE it. It’s super-lightweight, and nice & drapey, although now that I’ve worn it, I wish it was a size smaller…
I also got this top for $70 (I won’t be wearing it for a while though…it was 106 here today!!!!)
It is AMAZING. Really flattering on, in spite of it’s boxy shape. I tried it on with a fitted pencil skirt, so it definitely needs to be worn with something fitted on the bottom, but I’m so excited I was able to get it.
I told you I would wear these the rest of the summer…

I don’t know what you wear when you hear it’s going to “feel” like 105 today. I don’t know…when it’s over 95, I don’t think it matters what you wear, you’re going to be HOT anyway. Really hot. I just try to go as fast as I can from the car to my destination. And limit stops. Today I’m just going to lunch with my fiance, then to an event later to eat cake balls. No laughing
