I always get a kick out of that phrase, and of writing “Cydwoq.” I mean, how clever is that name? and how amazing are the sandals?? I’ve been desirous of a pair of Cydwoq sandals for years now, but when they finally get to a price where I can buy them, I still can’t make myself do it. Or, as in this case, I just can’t afford them right now. Even though they’re only $93. And gorgeous.

Check out more Cydwoq on sale (now 50% off) at a mano.
Favorite shoe boutique, a mano, has started their semi-annual sale and all Spring shoes and bags are marked down 30%. It’s nearly impossible for me to select shoes to feature here because I truly love them all, but below are four of my favorites. Unfortunately, nothing fits into my budget right now, but if I could I would get the cydwoq and Jutta Neuman sandals in a second – I’ve been drooling over both of those pairs FOREVER. And the prices are fabulous right now…there are also some styles of Fiorentini & Baker on sale, as well as Ananas handbags, Swedish Hasbeens sandals, and Chie Mihara shoes.

Roberto del Carlo: $274

Corso Como: $71

Cydwoq: $130

Jutta Neuman: $189
I’ve mentioned before how frustrating it’s been for me to try and find boots to fit my large (more like giant) calves. Whenever I do find a pair that seem like they could work for my calves, they always bunch up around the ankle, and that’s not a good look…
So, I’ve always wanted a pair of boots, but have had to settle for admiring them from afar, on other women. But I think that maybe now, I have found the perfect pair – the Fiorentini & Baker “B1-08″ 2 in 1 boot:

These are actually ankle boots, with removable spats! How cool is that! Not only does it seem like the spats would fit nearly any size calves, but just remove them, and you have a great pair of ankle boots to wear with jeans, or skirts. Love it.
Check them out at a mano – where there’s also a 30-50% off sale going on now…
I love boots. I love to look at them, and shop for them, but I have never owned a pair. This is definitely not for lack of trying, but alas, my calves are too HUGE to fit into most boots, and I’m too lazy to buy a pair and try to get them stretched (that’s assuming they can be stretched more than just a couple of inches).
Personal problems aside, I have always coveted a pair of Fiorentini & Baker boots. They have just the right mix of edge & femininity for me, they’re durable, and handcrafted by Italian artisans to assure they “age gracefully.” Honestly, with their prices, they SHOULD age gracefully – they should last forever!! Not that the prices are unreasonable by any means, but if I’m spending more than $500 for a pair of boots, I would expect to wear them for many, many years.
This classic motorcycle boot is my favorite:

Next, these ankle boots would look AWESOME with a pair of wide-leg jeans, or even with a knee-length skirt and tights if you have the legs for it:

These flat boots are fabulous – they would look great with a shorter skirt, or even leggings and an oversized sweater…

All these boots are from a mano but you can find them at several other boutiques online.
