Sundry jumpsuit | made in the US

Admonish toteĀ | mine is distressed black/gray
Honestly, I don’t wear this jumpsuit “out” in public as often as I thought I would. But I did yesterday. Besides the obvious issues with public restrooms (I don’t like to disrobe completely to use the bathroom), this light cotton, slouchy style jumpsuit is VERY stretchy, and loses it’s shape almost immediately. As you can see, it’s quite “blah” after a day of wear. And because of my body type, the waist doesn’t stay up at my waist. That said, I DO wear this all the time at home. It’s crazy comfortable, and easy to hang around in. It also has pockets, which makes it good for when I take Dagny out.
Eh…I probably didn’t need another piece to wear around the house (although I do spend a lot of time at home, working, etc…), so, lesson learned, but I’m glad I tried it. Now I’m finished. No more jumpsuits for me; they’re just too hard to fit my body into.
And yes, this is a new tote from Admonish. Mine is an amazing black/gray distressed leather, but he has a nice brown waxy version up on the site (I’ve seen it in person, it’s lovely). The new totes are unlined, and very simple, to keep the price down, but they are AMAZING. It’s so lightweight, and it’s weird, but the slight curve makes it actually “fit” under your arm better than a normal tote. It’s unstructured, generally, but keeps it’s shape fairly well (even the bottom, which is a pet peeve for me). I switch to this one (from my other one) when I carry my laptop and big Moleskine to go work at a local coffeehouse and it’s ridiculously light even with that much stuff in it.
If you’re looking for leather bags that are made in the US, please check out Admonish, and let me know if you have any questions on either of the bags I have. He’s not really doing custom orders anymore, but he does buy new leather frequently and will probably add new items on the site as he makes them. I couldn’t be a bigger fan. And it’s not just because he’s my friend š
I don’t think it looks “eh, or meh, or bleh” at all. In fact, I think it’s a really sexy yet casual look. Aren’t jumpsuits supposed to be sort of non-skintight…unless you’re J Lo?!? š
well, yes. and i am certainly NOT J. LO!!! it just looks pretty messy to me after wearing for a day i guess…
That’s the genius of black. No one can tell!
that’s true. or at least i think that. in person, i don’t notice much, but after taking pictures…you see EVERYTHING!!!!
Ok, I will be the bad guy – wow! It is “eh, meh, blah” everything in one! Does nothing good for you, doesn’t flatter your figure in any way. And I am so glad you realize it yourself! Jumpsuits are hard to pull off overall, but a knit jersey jumpsuits more so… Thanks for being so brave and putting it out there!
