Eileen Fisher organic linen tank (gift from Eileen Fisher to review) | small
Frame Le Garcon jeans (a few years old)
Robert Clergerie sandals (year old)
Admonish leather tote
As I mentioned last week, Eileen Fisher sent me three pieces of organic linen to review for you, the Icon Box top, the wide leg pants, and this, the Icon tank in organic handkerchief linen.
I may have worn this tank more often than any of the other pieces so far (I took this picture on the third wear – I’ll wash it after three wears usually). I wore it on the plane to Atlanta a couple weeks ago, and then back home again. It layered nicely under my Zady linen sweater, which I just tied around my waist when I didn’t need it. It fits well in the size small; even the length, and I really appreciate that it’s not tent-y at all, like so many things are nowadays.
I find the handkerchief linen to be really comfortable, soft (softer after wearing and washing) and fairly opaque. It’s not completely opaque – it’s linen – but I am perfectly comfortable wearing only a bra underneath, and for this top, the skimpier the better so it doesn’t show at the armholes. I know I just inferred that linen is not ever going to be opaque, but actually my Elizabeth Suzann harper tunic IS opaque in black because it’s a heavier weight.
Another win for Eileen Fisher’s linen; it’s medium-weight compared to Elizabeth Suzann, and a little lighter weight than Everlane’s boyfriend shirt, and shows creases/wrinkles less than Everlane but a little more than Elizabeth Suzann. In between wears I usually mist my linen with lots of water to freshen it up a bit, and then wash it in the machine on delicate with The Laundress delicates wash and hang to dry.
Stay tuned for lots more linen posts!!
(on my face, I’m wearing Josh Rosebrook tinted nutrient day cream and Kjaer Weis lip tint in “dream state” along with RMS’ master mixer on my eyes and as a highlighter. I got the lip tint as a sample in my most recent Integrity Botanicals order, but I received a small sample of the Josh Rosebrook as part of a group of things I received to review for you, including cleansers, hair texturizer, and more. I’ll publish a full discussion next week!)
