Just a few made-in-the-US, smaller designer goodies for your Wednesday before Thanksgiving…
In case you didn’t see, Elizabeth Suzann dropped holiday this week and it’s amazing, of course. I’m particularly taken by the Eva sweater, mostly because it is simple, but with interesting details. The cocoon coat is gorgeous also, and comes in a long and short length. If you’ve tried any Elizabeth Suzann, own any, or have seen it in person, please leave your comments on fit, etc., here for your fellow readers!! I know (Chris, especially, Ahem…) they’ll appreciate it!!
I’ve been following Eenvoud for a long time, but she only launches collections a few times a year, so didn’t have much to post until now. I love the back detailing on this tank, and she has a gorgeous tank dress with mesh detailing that’s wonderful for spring/summer. Even better, I love her mission: to create
minimal and well-made women’s garments in the most sustainable and ethical way possible for our producers, our customers and the world. We believe in slow fashion – releasing new designs slowly and keeping garments in stock for years to come. Our goal is to create clothing that will live with you for years – that becomes a part of your story. We aim to simplify life to allow for more enjoyment of the little things; and to help shift the fashion industry in the process.
And finally, I just CANNOT stop looking at these shoes by FEIT. I literally have had the tab open on my browser for days and go frequently to just stare at the burgundy slippers. I’m taken mostly by the attention to detail and stripped-down-to-necessities look. Nothing is not necessary; everything is beautiful AND practical. I’m not sure the shoes are made in the US (they are based in NYC), but each pair is handmade in small quantities with particular focus on “minimal environmental impact and maximum quality. “
I hope you enjoy! And please let me know your thoughts on these smaller designers…
The Cocoon Coat sure is a beauty. It would be nice to wear it with elbow-length gloves outside, I also might add hidden buttons as a closure option.
I’m just hesitant since their return policy doesn’t include cash returns, only store credit (which I understand, since everything is made to order; nevertheless… ). Also, it would be nice if they had a short video on their site (like Everlane) to show how the fabric drapes.
My first EZ piece was shipped yesterday (a FW Florence pant) and naturally I can’t wait for it to arrive. The only helpful information I can provide so far: It took 16 business days from order to shipment.
I’m loving shopping with small businesses! I find so many unique things that I’d never find in “regular” big name stores. I plan to shop local on Saturday!
Love the Feit shoes .. especially the lace ups – with round toes! I may be able to get my foot into those shoes 🙂
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Monica.
I’m just seeing this post, Grechen. Thank you for the love! We’ve started slowly, but we have new Fall Pre-Sale pieces up on the site now!
