I’m on a quest for booties. I posted some of my favorite ankle boots several months ago, but it’s getting time to buy a pair, and I’m thinking a bootie (more of a shoe/boot) than an actual ankle boot would suit me better.
These Stuart Weitzman’s are the ones I want. More than anything. They are sleek and sexy, and look substantial enough to work with my thicker legs. They come in a variety of colors, including a lovely black suede that’s on sale at Nordstrom right now, but this olive color is by far the most versatile in my opinion.
But these Seychelles oxfords are probably the ones I’ll end up getting (I don’t have $355 to spare right now) instead:
But I’d get them in the “clay” color, which is more brown/gray. They’re $109, and I think a pretty good buy. I have a hard time buying shoes; I agonize over the decision forEVER and make a much bigger deal out of it than I should. But I’ve had these in my cart for a week at Endless, so it may be time to just get them already!

Of the 2 Seychelles, I’d say the 2nd pair is closest to the SW ones you really covet. But you can’t go wrong with a cute pair of oxfords either.

i think i’m going to go for both the seychelles to see how they fit/work on me and return one pair…or not…LOL
Of the 2, I like the 2nd pair a little better – The cuff and metal studs add interest, but are still subtle enough not to take away from the rest of your outfit.

no!!!! if they had my size in the SW booties, i’d get them in a second. you have to get them!!!
but yes, the quilted ones are so cool…definitely more “fun” than the SW
I have been ogling that second pair of seychelles for a while… can’t even remember where I first saw them but they’re at about a gazillion different stores. Love the bold stap/cuff look. I’m not as big a fan of the oxford seychelles. Have you thought about these guys? Seychelles Spectacle Bootie The heel is a smidge lower but they come in the clay color you like.
Oh! If you’re worried about comfort, these Clarks Peralta boots felt a-freaking-mazing when I tried them on last month. They’re on my christmas wishlist.
Oh I am just in LOVE with those Opening Ceremony shoes! So Hawt!!! They’ll look great with a nice stocking.

I just purchased a pair of booties myself (http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?prodId=195573&cm_mmc=affil-_-Google%20Product%20Ads%20(Beta%20-%209)-_-main-_-main), in black, but I’ve already laid them to rest back in their box. I don’t know how to wear them!! Being thick in the legs myself, I’ve always shied away from tights, with which I think they look best, because of the horrible SWISH! SWISH! sound that my chub rub makes while walking around. Please share your ideas on how to make these work.
