I got this skirt a couple of weeks ago and wear it constantly. I had a long Ella Moss skirt that was eaten up by a Nordstrom escalator that I lived in last summer, so I have been on the lookout for a replacement. I originally wanted this in Graphite, but they were sold out in my size (L) so went for the Slate instead. I searched everywhere online that sells Stewart+Brown for the black one, or even the brown one they feature on their site to no avail. Anyway, I’m extremely happy with it, although it is a little longer than I’d prefer. I thought about cutting it off at the bottom, but when I wear it with my Prada Sport sandals with a slight platform, it’s perfect. And after I washed it the first time, it shrank in length a tad, so it’s better than when I first received it (that’s a HUGE pet peeve of mine…I guess I’m short, but am I THAT much shorter than most women? or just models?)
A note on the sandals – I’ve had these for about three years and they are my FAVORITE comfort sandals EVER. They’re pretty much my favorite shoes ever, but they’re not appropriate for every occasion…I have had many pairs of Birkenstocks over the years, and when I bought the Mephisto’s I really intended to get Birkenstock Gizah’s, but when I tried them both on side by side, the Mephisto’s won hands down. The footbed is much more comfortable from the beginning than Birkenstocks, and I just liked the style more. They have also proven to hold up better than the cork on my Birkenstocks. I’m going to get another pair of two in some other colors, but I’ve been so pleased with the silver; I can wear them with everything.
