You’ve probably seen fringed handbags popping up here and there lately, and pretty soon, you’ll see them all over the place. They fit right in with this Spring’s long, printed dresses and slouchy tees to round out the pervasive “boho” look that keeps coming around in warmer weather.
I must admit, I’m not all the way on board with this trend – fringe just doesn’t speak to me like zippers do (LOL). But of all the fringed handbags I’ve seen, the Dita from Posse NYC is my favorite by far. I love the hobo shape and the knotted shoulder strap. The pewter distressed leather is basically a neutral – you can wear it with anything – and so soft.
Here it is on me:
It’s the perfect size for me, and couldn’t fit more perfectly over my shoulder. It’s easy to keep organized inside with a large zipper pocket and two pouches on the side for phone/ipod. I love the way it hangs when it’s full of stuff: it doesn’t get too slouchy. The only thing you want to watch out for is the fringe getting in the way of the zipper! I don’t ever close my bags, so it’s not a huge problem for me, but it is something you’ll have to pay attention to.
This is my second Posse NYC bag and I’m impressed again with the quality and craftsmanship of their products. The leather is incredibly soft, and I particularly love the distressed look of this bag. Perfect!

Great feature – lovely bags!!
