Your eyes are not deceiving you, I’m wearing a pattern. I actually love houndstooth, but never really thought to try it on myself until I saw Susan wearing this exact top last week; I loved it on her and how it really popped, thinking, I could try that! Then, in a stroke of serendipity, Pauline from Covered Perfectly contacted me about working together and viola – here I am in a fabulous Covered Perfectly houndstooth top 😉
I’m pretty excited about the top; it fits nicely around my shoulders, bust and hips (it’s a bit large around the middle, but that’s normal for me!), and I love the slightly longer length. The top isn’t long enough to wear with leggings with out a longer layer underneath, but it is long enough to cover my hips when I feel like it. And even though I’m getting more comfortable with my upper body since I’ve lost weight, I still have that dreaded upper arm flab no matter how hard I try to get rid of it, so I’m thankful for the 3/4 length sleeves that seem to fit perfectly. This particular top is made of a polyester blend so it’s a different fabrication than most of Covered Perfectly’s other tops, but you will LOVE it if you like a more structured top – one that doesn’t cling where you don’t want it to…
But almost more than the top, I LOVE supporting Pauline in her entrepreneurial journey. Since her search for “the perfect top” for women who want to be a little more covered than many tops out there came up empty, she took it upon herself to CREATE it for herself – which is something I can totally get behind. The only thing better than BEING an entrepreneur is helping support other entrepreneurs, and I’m excited to do my small part for Pauline’s efforts. Of course, I am THRILLED that the tops are made in the US, and that she has a great selection of plus-sizes.
Oh, AND she’s giving three tops away to three lucky winners!! Fill out the form below to enter to win your own! I will run the giveaway through Thanksgiving weekend, so no one will miss out. While you wait to see if you’ve won, please check out Covered Perfectly and if you find something you can’t live without, use code GC20 for 20% off your order. Have a wonderful week!!
Gretchen, it looks fabulous on you! I’m loving mine and wearing it quite a lot.
Yay for prints, yay for supporting local entrepreneurs, and yay for cute plus size tops!!
I’d love to see more pattern on you, Grechen!! Shame I’m not in the US, I’d totally have entered this – the pattern is perfect. Plus I meant to say last week how I love your flats, they really do look so comfy as you said 🙂
Catherine x
