I was really in love with Rachel Comey’s Fall 2008 Collection, not so much with Spring 2009. What I loved the most about Fall 2008 – the vivid prints – are missing from Spring 2009, or at least they are much more muted. I loved the mixture of feminine dresses with heavy boots in Fall 2008, and while I do love the sandals for Spring 2009, I’m not at all taken with most of the individual pieces.
Granted, it’s a Spring collection, but I don’t like all silk outfits, or all flowy fabrics; I prefer a mix of ethereal and “grounded”.
This is actually my favorite look from the collection. Simple, but colorful, and “sturdy” (if that makes sense?):

This is another favorite – love the vivid blue printed skirt, and the mixed patterns.
