Speaking of leather jackets…here’s my “leather jacket” outfit; I wore it last night to my husband’s company Christmas dinner. Before I talk about the jacket, I want to sing praises for the Splendid layering tee I’m wearing underneath the tunic. If you don’t have one of these, figure out a way to get one because you will never know how you lived without it. I wish I had one for every day. It’s long, like their layering camis (of which I have four) so it acts as a slip underneath the lightweight tunic and provides a much-needed extra layer of warmth. Also, the sleeves are LONG, but slim, so they stay put and don’t get lost under sweaters, which I really appreciate. Anyway, I wear this all the time – mostly with leggings and my big Inhabit cashmere cardigan for lounging around or running to home depot (which I’ve done a lot this past week!), but I also wear it with jeans, dresses, you name it. Such a versatile tee.
Now back to the jacket – This is a perfect outfit for it, I think. I’ll give it a go with jeans next, but I think because of the shape of the jacket, and that it’s cropped, it works best with dresses/skirts. I’m looking forward to wearing it more often as I get used to the cooler temperatures here in the “Dallas-area.” š
I hope all of you who celebrate have a very merry Christmas!! We’re going to do the typical Jewish thing and go see a movie, then Chinese food…See you back here on Thursday!
I laughed about the doing the “Jewish thing.” Oy, can I relate. Chinese food and a movie, are Christmas classics for Jews. I like your outfit, too. I just put the Splendid top on my shopping list, thanks for the info. Happy holidays to you, and all of your regular readers!
Love that outfit! Triple score because you styled the jacket and ankle boots perfectly, and the print makes up for the lack of colour. š I’ll definitely keep an eye out for the Splendid T.
Happy holidays! Thanks for all your hard work this year.
Lol over Chinese food and a movie! My husband is a minister (Presbyterian) and so we could never leave for home (which was Wisconsin) until Christmas day…and we DROVE there back in the day, which meant that we were practically the only family on the interstate. But it made for some funny hotel trips (you could run down to the lobby and get snacks in your PJ’s and there was no one else in the hotel to see you!)…and some great Chinese dinners on Christmas night because they were the only place that stayed open!
Love the outfit, Grechen! You look GREAT!! Happy Holidays <3
