I’m totally wearing this today…just trying to find alternatives to the mirror selfie 😉
I have been wearing a variation of my LSJ outfit, for about a week, so I thought it was time to give my Atlelier Delphine jacket a bit of a rest. I’ve worn that all day every day – mostly at home – that I wondered if it’s getting time to wash it. I don’t think so; it’s not dirty, and I think we could probably stand to wash things way less often than we do, so I sprayed it with some fabric refresher and will keep wearing it for a while.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about fabrics, as I do, particularly after learning how harmful synthetics are to the environment even AFTER they’re manufactured/dyed/sewn, so wanted to feature more prominently this hemp tee. I’d love to buy more hemp (I have a beautiful Mociun hemp/silk blend dress in slowre!), because it’s an amazingly sustainable & environmentally friendly fabric, but it’s not always available in styles I like.
This tee though. I really love it, and have worn it quite a bit since I got it a couple months ago, but it’s very long on me, and only really suitable tucked in. The texture is sort of like a cross between linen and raw silk. It’s super soft and drapey, even before being washed and worn, and only gets better over time. I love the neckline too. I find it mildly annoying that it’s not BLACK BLACK though. That’s just a “thing” I have …
I may try a white one eventually also, and order that in a small to see if it’s less long on me. Jungmaven also makes hemp/organic cotton blend tees that are much less expensive than this one and worth a try as well.
Have you tried hemp clothing? (I know a lot of you have, and commented about it on this post) What did you think?
